Tigerclaw woke to feel the sun warm his pelt. Maybe it was the sun, but maybe it was the dappled tom. The tom with a brilliant red tail. The tom with eyes that made him smile. The Thunderclan deputy, Redtail. His fur crawled every time he thought about him, but when he saw him...that was a feeling he couldn't explain.
"Good morning, Redtail." He purred.
"Morning," Redtail murmured.
The blank look in the tom's eyes hurt Tigerclaw deeply. His heart cringed and he looked on sadly. That's why he did it. Yes, he's the one who killed Redtail. Accused for ambition. How far away they are from the truth! He killed him, because his love was unreturned. If he couldn't have Redtail, no one could!
Now his heart fluttered at a different tom. Lionheart, the new deputy. His new mate. They felt the same way about each other. They loved each other, they needed each other.
"Good morning, my beloved." Lionheart meowed to him.
"Good morning, handsome." Tigerclaw purred, rubbing his muzzle along Lionheart's flank.
"Dawn patrol?" Lionheart asked hopefully.
"I've never let you down before, have I?" Tigerstar replied, rising to his paws, "Ready when you are."
"I'm ready now." Lionheart meowed.

After battle with Shadowclan

"Lionheart, no!" Tigerclaw yowled, "Why did you leave me?"
"I will always watch over you, my beloved." Lionheart's voice whispered to him.
"You don't have to, anymore." Tigerclaw meowed before digging his claws into his throat.
Tigerclaw's painful screech attracted all eyes to see the suicide. Bluestar wailed and Goldenflower rushed over, sadly aware of his reason.
Tigerclaw was with his beloved at last. Lionheart and Tigerclaw could never be torn apart. They were forever. They loved each other and Tigerclaw was willing to commit suicide for him.
