Chapter 10
New Apprentices for Windclan


As it turns out, fate decided not to take Tidalpaw away from me, or Opalpaw. He woke two weeks after the accident. Something about his giant height had caused him to go into a coma. I guess, just because he was bigger then us didn't mean he wouldn't pull through. It was silly of me to believe that he would, I know my brother better than that... Better then anybody.



A slim brown tabby tom gave a confident look at an onlooking crowd of cats. " Today, we have many new kits to appoint as apprentices, mine, and Ashfoot's, my former deputy." Thelithe tom swilveled around to face a giggling group of kits. " Gingerkit, my lovely little girl, please step forward."

At those words a slender ginger coated she-cat who resembled her fathers figure slipped past the group and toward her awaiting father. A twinkle of joy glinted in her gravely serious eyes.

Onestar smiled then turned his attention to the crowd of huddled kits, "Gingerkit, from now on, you shall be known as Gingerpaw." The somewhat young leader faced his clan once more Haretail, you are ready for an apprentice. You will be Gingerpaw's mentor.
Haretail, you have shown bravery and loyalty. I expect you to pass on all your skills to Gingerpaw, so that she may be an honorable warrior of WindClan."

Gingerpaw smiled at her father's choice and bounded across the clearing to touch noses akwardly to her mentors. Giving the bashful tom a giant beam she plopped herself beside him.

Onestar purred and turned to the kits, " Olivekit, please step forward." He proudly puffed out his chest as he saw the young tom step out from the blend of pelts. Olivekit never really knew Tornfoot, for he died sonn after he was born. So Onestar took on the role of being a role-model for the young kit.

A muscular large tom stepped toward Onestar. A huge grin crept onto his face and his eyes brimmed with laughter.

Onestar spoke up again,"Olivekit, from now on, you shall be known as Olivepaw. I am fully ready for an apprentice. I will be Olivepaw's mentor.
" I have shown honor and dedication. I promise I will pass on all your skills to Olivepaw, so that he may be an honorable warrior of WindClan."


Olivepaw's dark blue eyes lit up with a flame of pride. He bashfully pranced forward to touch noses with his leader, then frolicked over to sit next to Gingerpaw, who's violet eyes were glaring angrily at the ground.

Onestar chuckled, he turned to the nervous looking Skykit. Her sapphire eyes reflected his amusement. " Skykit, dear, step up here please." he purred.

Skykit trembled in fear. " Yes-s- s-sir.." She stammered and bounded up to the awaiting leader. She had always been afraid of the tom, even though he was a father figure to her.

Onestar flicked his tail over the young females back ,"Skykit, from now on, you shall be known as Skypaw.Nightcloud is fully ready for an apprentice. She will be Skypaw's mentor.
Nightcloud you have shown the ability to love and let go and compassion. Nightcloud, I expect you will pass on all your skills to Skypaw, so that she may be an honorable warrior of WindClan."

A black she-cat with burning green eyes looked up at the sound of her name as it echoed across the clearing. She pricked her ears and her long whiskers twitched in cheerfullness. Nightcloud slowly drew her way toward Skypaw. The warrior bent down to touch noses with the shy apprentice. " We start traing at sunhigh tomorrow." She whispered in the pale brown she-cats ear.

Skypaw nodded in gratitude and whisked away toward her brother and Gingerpaw.

Onestar gazed at the two remaining kits with love in his eyes. "Before I appoint these two wonderful kits as apprentices, we have two apprentices that are in need of becoming warriors."

His sight trailed to the large pair, " Cheetahpaw, and Tidalpaw, please come up here."

The two huge cats stood and loped over the clearing, pawstep in pawstep to meet their leader.

Onestar turned to Heatherfoot, "Heatherfoot, are you satisfied that this apprentice is ready to become a warrior?"

"Yes, he is ready."

"I, Onestar, leader of WindClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him a warrior in his turn. Tidalpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do." The white tom rasped, his voice still dry and his body was still sore from the fox encounter.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Tidalpaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Tidalwave. The Clan honors your excellent fighting and hunting skills and your courage to face death, and we welcome you as a full warrior of WindClan." Onestar gently rested his muzzle on Tidalwave's head. Tidalwave had to bend down because he was so tall, but he licked his leader's shoulder in return.


A loud chanting sounded off from first Cheetahpaw, then Heatherfoot, then Opalkit, then the whole clan was singing, " Tidalwave, Tidalwave!"

Onestar smiled then turned to Cheetahpaw's mentor Breezefur,"Breezefur, are you satisfied that this apprentice is ready to become a warrior?"

"Yes, she is ready."

"I, Onestar, leader of WindClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her a warrior in her turn. Cheetahpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

"I do." The elegant dappled golden she-cat replied with a twinkle in her eyes.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Cheetahpaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Cheetahsoul. The Clan honors your commitment and faith, and we welcome you as a full warrior of WindClan."

Now Onestar was crying in joy, so was Breezefur, and Whitetail, then the whole clan except for Tidalwave who was under vigil broke out singing, " Cheetahsoul! Tidalwave! Cheetahsoul! Tidalwave!"

Onestar faced his clan once more, " Before you two start your vigil, I am going to appoint you apprentices.." He sharply turned, " Minkkit, my boy, step forward.."

The velvet brown tom slipped forward and bounded to his father.


Onestar chuckled and licked his sons head,"Minkkit, from now on, you shall be known as Minkpaw. Tidalwave is fully ready for an apprentice. He will be Minkpaw's mentor.
Tidalwave you have shown the ability to fight and hunt. Tidalwave, I expect you will pass on all your skills to Minkpaw, so that he may be an honorable warrior of WindClan."


Minkpaw tried to act mature and walk over calmly to his mentor, but he broke out in a geeful run. Afterall his mentor was the biggest cat in all the clans! They ouched noses and Minkpaw ran over to sit beside Skypaw.

Onestar smiled fondly at Opalkit, the smallest of the kits was also the most sheepish kit, " Opalkit, dear, come on forward."

The silver white she-cat nodded slightly and a smile crept onto her small face.

Onestar curled his tail around her,"Opalkit, from now on, you shall be known as Opalpaw. Cheetahsoul is fully ready for an apprentice. She will be Opalpaw's mentor.
Cheetahsoul you have shown the ability to start anew and courage. Cheetahsoul, I expect you will pass on all your skills to Opalpaw, so that she may be an honorable warrior of WindClan."

Opalpaw nodded in joy and sprinted over to Cheetahsoul. She lightly tapped her nose to Cheetahsoul's. But then instead of racing over to be with her sibling and friends, she bolted over to sit beside Tidalwave, who crouched down and wrapped his tail around her affectionatley. He began to lick her with love in each stroke.

Onestar stared curiously at the pair then his loud voice rang out, " Opalpaw! Minkpaw! Cheetahsoul! Tidalwave!Olivepaw! Skypaw! Gingerpaw!"

Chapter 11
The New Life Of Leafpool & Crowfeather


Leaving the clans, well it made both of us stronger..Leafpool and I. She had grown headstrong, just as headstrong as her apprentice, well, now he's probably the medicine cat but anyway, I found out that once we started our normal lives again, Leafpool and I grew more in love with each other. Even though I had found a mate in Nightcloud, and we had a son, I was still head over tail for Leafpool, all my love for Feathertail had been washed away, and I was about to lose Leafpool too. So we eloped. Now, moons later, we have four beautiful kits, well they aren't really kits anymore, they are apprentice age. We live a a beautiful meadow, that is embedded in a hill.

" Daintypaw! Songpaw! Flightpaw! Darkpaw!" a dark silver tom cried as he stuck his head out of a cozy looking den. Instantly four cats all with pelts the color of metal milled toward him. The only one who's pelt wasn't completley covered in the metallic color of her siblings, had white fur, with a spot of each color on her flank. Her eyes glowed as she stepped toward Crowfeather, " Father, we caught an eagle and a shrew!" she purred in excitement.

Her mother's head appeared behind their father, " Dears, I think you should hurry off to get your kills then come back quickly, today is the first day of Leafbare and it is already freezing." She was a small pretty tabby with a white chest and paws.

" Leafpool," Her mate purred her name and pressed himself into her fur.

" Crowfeather, do you remember?" She said softly and intertwined her tail with his.

" What?" he said.

" My Mother died this day last year," She shivered in pain, " My father died too...."

Crowfeathers expression of pain was visible in his eyes, " Leafpool, I know and I am so sorry.."

Leafpool's amber eyes softened and she purred, " Thank you... Crowfeather.... oh nevermind.." She stared at her paws.

Crowfeather pressed his nose into her sweet smelling fur, " Aww come on Leafpool, I am not going to get mad at you or anything, just tell me.." he laughed

" Do you ever regret running away with me? Like do you wish that you were still in your cozy den sleeping beside your mate Nightcloud instead of with me?" She whispered.

Crowfeather thought for a moment, " I never will regret leaving with you to start where we left off. You know how Squirrelflight used Ashfur, that is exactly what I did to Nightcloud, she was the closest thing I had to you."

" When we die, will you love me still of Feathertail?"

" I do not love Feathertail in the least anymore. You light up my sky, of course I will only love you." He smiled then added in a hushed tone, " I have seen Feathertail in my dreams, not ones with you where I am happy, but nightmares. She is very angry and sh said something terrible, I just wanted to wait until I thought it was true.."

Leafpool's amber eyes narrowed,her face became stone hard and she spoke the exact words her mate had heard in his nightmare, " One of the four of the Crow and Leaf will rise to be the bravest and most loyal of all. Her blood will will be purer then pure and she will radiate the sunshine. But the heroin will fall at the cursed touch of an angry lover."

Crowfeather nodded in remorse. He turned his head to see his kits racing toward him. Songpaw was the first to race over the hilltop. He froze, " Leafpool."

Leafpool glanced up and froze in rigid shock, Songpaw's whiye pelt was reflecting the sunlight and she seemed to glow with the golden color. " No. It can't be," She sobbed.

Chapter 12
Lost Love


Mist swirled up around the paws of a she-cat as she stormed toward the looking-pool. Where all Starclan cats looked to see what was going on among their clanmates. She was determined to see what her previous mate was doing. But turned at the noise of footsteps. She gasped when she recognized the silver tabby she-cat the resmebled her in everyway.

Silvertream had a stern look on her face, but underneath was sympathy for Feathertail's despair. " Feathertail, stop mourning over him." she said in a hardly audible tone, but that was normal for everything she said came out in a hushed tone. She made her way to the looking-pool and tapped it with her paw. " Look dear, this is Graystripe's and my future when he dies."

She moved to reveal the sequence of events. First Graystripe died with his current mate Millie by his side. Then, he rejoiced to be with his daughter and real mate. Then, it showed Millie dying and roaming Starclan to find Graystripe. But it showed her finding him with Silverstream. Graystripe harshly rejected her and she raced away. Then with a cheerful smile Silverstream caused the images to fade.

" Seeee Feathertail! I was so distraught over Graystripe choosing another mate. But look he does not love her like he loves me!"

Feathertail flattened her ears against her head, " Mom I have tried that millions of times but he rejects me like daddy rejected her." She whined.

Silvertsream sadly licked the top of her daughter's head and tried to soothe her.

(( Squirrelflight's POV))

I peacefully woke from my refreshing meet with Shrewclaw. Nothing worried me about the conversation I needed to have with Jayfeather.

I raced back to camp where I was greeted by Bramblestar who was being pounced on by his grandkits. I laughed when I saw little Hillkit declare war and all three kits bounced on their leader.

" Hey there sweeties!" I purred and bent to greet the little kits as the raced to me. Eclipsekit stumbled toward me first followed by Duskkit and Hillkit.

" SquirrelFlight!" they cried in unison.

" Hey!" Bramblestar called as he stood up.

" Uh, heyyyy." I looked at him nervously.

" How are you beautiful?" He said and meant it.

UGH! I wanted to gag but sweetly smiled and replied, " Fine." I briskly passed him and hurried to Jayfeather's den.


" JAYFEATHER!" I hissed his name between my teeth. Jayfeather was my only kit that turned out to be evil. Poppytail has helped him through his hardest time and Squirrelflight knew he thought of Fadedpaw like a daughter.

Just as I was thinking about her, dainty little Fadedpaw poked her tiny head around the corner, " He left Squirrelflight, to Moonpool." A cross look broke across her face and I realized she was dissappointed that he did not take her. But she didn't let her dissappointment keep her down and smiled at me, " But is there anything I can help you with?"

I licked the top of her head, " No sweetie, I just needed to speak with him." I flicked my tail in goodbye and burst out of the medicine cat den to the camp entrance. Excellent! Now my plan would work perfectly!

I reached the Moonpool quickly where I found my sleeping son. I heaved my weight on the ground and nervously tapped my nose in the water.

Suddenly I was in a mist covered land. I looked despratley for Jayfeather and cried out his name. I heard the sound of pawsteps and saw a shadow of a well-muscled figure as it pranced toward me.

" Shrewclaw!" I cried and tackled him as soon as I spotted him.

" Squirrelflight! It's so good to see you again." he licked my head in affection.

I was about to reply when I spotted Jayfeather staring at me in confusion. He shut his eyes tightly, a thing he only did when he was confused and distraught. He had done this when Poppytail's only daughter died.

" Who is this? "

Shrewclaw looked at me for answers and I gave him a reassuring look.

" Oh, Jayfeather did I ever tell you about my best friend Shrewclaw? He had been hit by a car before i returned from my journey with your father."

" Uh-okay then why are you all over him?"

" I haven't seen him in moons! I miss him dearly, I bet Spiderleg misses him even more now that both his parents are dead, you know he is Spiderleg's brother."

" Yes I would do anything to visit him and his mate." Shrewclaw spoke up.

" Oh well, if it would help Spiderleg, ya know he hasn't been doin' to well and Cinderfrost is worried about him. It does not help her at all to worry herself sick."

With a sly smile Squirrelflight sighed, " Yes I know but what is there we can do?"

" Hold on. Wait a minute! If it will really help, then I guess I can use my powers," as he said ' powers' he puffed out his chest proudly, " I can bring you back."

" Would you really do that?" shrewclaw asked and staggered forward in awe.

" Yes." jayfeather replied," Now lay down!" he commanded and as Shrewclaw laid down Jayfeather collapsed.

I gasped in shock and we woke up next to Moonpool. I looked for Shrewclaw but spotted Jayfeather slumped on the ground. He was panting heavily yet his eyes were wide open.

" Oh no! Jayfeather!" i cried and bent down next to him. I felt hot breath on the back of my necka nd a familiar voice asked, " Is he alright?"

SHREWCLAW! I wanted to scream but I was worried over my dear boy.

" It... It... It is.... alr....alright... I..I j..just d..don't uhhhhh." He groaned.

I looked over my shoulder and smiled at Shrewclaw.

" Help me carry him." was all I could manage.

Without a smart remark shrewclaw bent and helped me carry Jayfeather back to camp. We slunk in through the back entrance that Jayfeather had made for escapes during fires. No one noticed us except for the awakening Fadedpaw who just thought Shrewclaw was Bramblestar and drifted off.

We carefully laid Jayfeather in his own nest and raced off to the lake with our tails twined.

" I love you so much Shrewclaw."

" I am sorry I had to go chasing after that pheasent, I have missed you forever."

" I- I mean we, might want to get back to camp soon. I am worried Bramblestar will exile me when he sees us together." I whispered and pressed my head into Shrewclaws awaiting chest. The burly tom nuzzed me.

" Don't worry over silly things like that," He promised, " Well lets get going then."

We headed back to camp. We both thought we had made it to the Warrior's den safely when I saw Bramblestar sitting wide awake, watching my every movement from my nest.

I let out a barely audible snarl as the monsterous tom stalked toward me.

" Who is that?" Bramblestar spat at Shrewclaw who didn't even flinch but slitted his eyes, unsheathed his claws and bared his fangs.

" B-Bramblestar do you not remember Shrewcla- I mean Shrewpaw?" I batted my eyes trying to seem unaware of the situation. I pressed closer to Shrewclaw who did the same.

"Stop playing innocent with me!" He snarled viciously, " if you are going to be his mate then you must leave!" He roared and leaped upon Greatrock.

Tears brimmed my eyes, "No......."


He called the whole clan and grumpy, tired cats lumbered out of their warm dens into the cold night air.


" What is it?" Cloudtail hissed as he helped his mate out of the warrior den.

" Squirrelflight has used Jayfeather's powers for her own selfish needs and brought back her beloved Shrewpaw."

Cries of joy at Shrewpaw's name chorused throughout the clan.

" My brother!" Spiderleg cried with tears in his eyes.

Shrewclaw raced over to his brother and touched his nose to his brother's.

Bramblestar glared at them in disgust, " So Squirrelflight and Shrewpaw are being exiled. They have till sunrise to leave."

Cries of sorrow passed in whispers. All of Squirrelflight's kits staggered forward in wails.

Squirrelflight made her way around the cats, accompanied by her true mate. Giving her love and luck to everyone.

By sunrise, Squirrelflight and shrewclaw waved goodbye to their friends one last time before they set away from the clans forever.

Chapter 13
" News spreads like wildfire...."






Only hours had gone my since the departure of Squirrelflight and Shrewpaw, yet every cat in every clan knew the tragic news. From the eldest tom to the youngest kit knew of Thunderclan's cruel actions.

" I can not believe it.." Whitetail sobbed.

Onestar, her mate comforted her as his whole clan marched furiously down to the island. Windclan was not the only clan parading to the Gathering Place for an emergency gathering.

Smokestar of Shadowclan looked at his mate in confusion. He did not approve of what Squirrelflight had done, but his mate Tawnypelt, Bramblestar's sister was in tears.

" C'mon dear, there was nothing you could have done. Even I knew that after Shrewpaw's death she was only living for her kits!"

" I know.. I guess some cat's like Bramblestar never find their soulmates like I did.' se shot an affectionate glance at Smokestar.

Even Riverclan was making their way to the island, except they swam there. Even the oldest elder found the strength to make it there and back. Kits rode on their mother's back's and splashed each oter as if nothing was going on.

Mistystar held a serious look on her face. Firestar and Sandstorm, had been very good friends of hers. She had loved their kits like her own. Leafpool leaving had been hard enough, and now Squirrelflight!? Now the only cats with the great leader Firestar's blood were Squirrelflight and Bramblestar's kits. But their blood was mixed with that of Tigerstar which made them outcasts to the other leaders.

Meanwhile in Thunderclan...


Echopaw, a newly appointed apprentice shivered and rushed down from her look-out spot in one of the several high branches in Owl-Tree.

" Bramblestar!" She called.

" WHAT?!" the leader spat at her.

Echopaw flinched at his stinging voice, " I-is there supposed to be a Gathering tonight?"

" NO! Wait why?"

" 'Cause Windclan, Riverclan and Shadowclan are all going there. I saw them from my look-out spot. It looks like the whole entire clan is going I even saw kits!"

" What?!" He cried and madly scrambled up te nearest and tallest tree.

After a short time he called down to Cloudtail, " Get everyone prepared to leave!" he shouted and crawled down.

Cloudtail nodded and hurried to get everyone together, helping Brightheart, his mate stand so she too could help. He shot over to the warrior and apprentice dens, while Brightheart staggered toward the queens den.

Bramblestar nodded in satisfaction as all the cats of his clan were in the clearing, prepare to leave for the Island," he screamed and made way toward the Gathering Place.

" Finally!" Smokestar roared as Thunderclan entered the crowded area.

Tawnypelt gave her mate a look of worry as Bramblestar flinched at the remark, " Yeah well I could of had an invitation!"

" Shutup you two, you're acting like quarreling kits." Mistystar grumbled.

Smokestar let the statement roll off him, but the angered Thunderclan leader gave a furious screech, " WHY HAVE ALL OF YOU CALLED THIS GATHERING?!?" his voice thundered and every cat was silenced.

" Why did you exile the great leader Firestar's daughter?" Mistystar hissed.

" Yes, why?" Onestar spoke up.

" WHAT?! This is why you called it? I made her leave because-" he fell quiet realizing the reason was selfish.

" Bramblestar, dear, if you really and truly loved her like you claim you do why did you make her leave? You should have been committed to her happiness," Mistystar plead, " You know how much Shrewpaw meant to her, when he died.. I hate to say it but, she used you."

Agreements rustled among the huddled clan cats.

Bramblestar's head was hung, " I know."

" Wait!" a tiny voice cried, " Starclan is sending a prophecy!" Bramblestar realized it was Fadedpaw.

Jayfeather jumped to her side and the cats instantly parted so the leader's could see the small she-cat.

Fadedpaw's brother and father were struggling to make sure she was alright.

" Banished from the clan of Thunder have been the daughters of Fire,
With no blood of the great left except mixed with that of the evil, the clan of Thunder will fall.
But if the daughters of Fire unite to form a clan of their kin, the clan of Thunder will remain,
unless the daughters of Fire fail."

Chapter 14
Family reunion




Shrewclaw and I were alone now...Banished from Thunderclan for falling in love. It was so stupid, why couldn't Bramblestar accept that I wanted to be with Shrewclaw?! It was terrible to be torn away from the place your parents souls lay. I miss mommy and daddy so much. It was hard enough to see Leafpool go, then mom, then daddy. Bramblestar knew how depressed i was, why couldn't he be overjoyed in the fact that I had found someone who I cared about and made me happy?! Why? I know why, because he was in love with me,but sometimes love doesn't work out the way you want it to.


" Squirrelflight!" A sweet voice purred and I felt tender paws rock me back and forth. I blinked my sleepy eyes open and to my surprise I saw Sandstorm, not Shrewclaw.

" Mommy?!" I whispered and sat up quickly.

" Yes dear, it's me!" she smiled and stared past me for a moment.

" And me," A familiar voice chuckled behind me.

" Daaaaaddy!" I whined and turned around to see the big orange tom smiling widely.

" Yes sweet daughter. We have come to visit you, and to tell you of what Bramblestar has caused for my clan."

He spat the name Bramblestar as he said it and I could see hatred churning in his eyes.

" Exiling you like that!" he growled, " Terrible, I knew I should have kept Graystripe as my deputy!"

" Oh Firestar it wasn't your fault honey!" Sandstorm cooed and licked him.

" It all right you guys, I am happy, at least I still have Shrewclaw."

A happy smile appeared on both my parents faces, they always did like Shrewclaw.

" He is a splendid choice in a mate dear." My mother purred and rested her muzzle atop mine.

" Yes, much better and kinder then Bramblestar." Firestar laughed and licked me.

" I am the bearer of bad news unfortunatley.." My father grumbled, " Bramblestar has caused my clan to depart and fall."

" Its true," My mom went on, " No cats like him anymore, even my dear Jayfeather has stopped listening to him."

" Thunderclan will be lost forever if you and Shrewclaw do not unite with Leafpool and form a clan of your own..." my father dropped off and his serious face broke into a huge grin.

" Hey maybe you can call it Legendclan?! ya know cause you'll be making a legend!" a low voice chuckled and my heart sang his name with joy, Graystripe!!


" Firestar! Sandstorm! Squirrelflight!" The tom laughed and joined our circle along with a beautiful silver tabby who I assumed was his beloved mate, Silverstream.

" Graystripe! Silverstream! It's so good to see old friends!" Sandstorm purred.

Silverstream purred and turned toward me, " Hello Squirrelflight. I haven't ever met you but I can tell that love drives your heart," she winked at me playfully, " based on who your true mate is."


I was dumbstruck, I had no idea what any of them were talking about so I just nodded blankly and watched as they all started to fade away, " Wait no! What were you telling me?!" I cried, but it was in vain.

I woke up to find no warm Shrewclaw beside me. I began to panick and found myself thinking it had all been a dream, the exiling, the alive Shrewclaw, everything! I jumped up immediatley and raced forward, going nowhere in particular, just heading toward anything.

I shrieked as I saw a crow black tom standing in front of me. He looked just as shocked as I did. I knocked him right over and I found him on top of me in an instant. Claws unsheathed he attacked.

" No!" I cried. I despratley stood up and braced myself for pain as he shot toward me. Claws raked down my sides and it brought not just my blood out, but my fury. I leaped onto his back and tried to shread his back with my claws. But he rolled over, squishing me benath his weight. then he jumped up and fiercely clawed and my legs. I thrashed out, sometimes scoring them in his shoulders. But then he backed away, giving me room to stand up, I did so quickly, and arched my back in a hiss. I noticed that his eyes were glued on the ledge above me, I quickly glanced up there to see Shrewclaw, seathing in outrage.

" Squirrelflight stay where you are!" he growled deeply and leaped between me and the rouge.

But a gorgeous brown tabby shot out in front of him, carrying cobwebs in her tiny jaws. She hurried over to the black tom and gentlely dabbed at his many wounds. she licked his side, and I could see affection between them. Shrewclaw turned at the distraction and crept over to me, " Are you alright? What happened?"

I shook my head in confusion, but I stopped as the she-cat turned to give me a nasty glare, probably for hurting her mate, i thought. as soon as she did, we both froze. No it couldn't be.

Even Shrewclaw's eyes were glued on her face, " Squirrelflight... Is that-?" his eyes were wide .

" Yes. Yes it is," I cried and tears began to trickle down my cheeks. I slowly beagn to walk toward her, and she did the same. then we began to trot, then we broke out at a fast pace, shrewclaw matching me step for step.

We met at the middle of the clearing.

Chapter 15
Riverclan





Pebblefoot watched his apprentice with round shocked eyes as the cream furred she-cat giggled with her friends.

" Yeah so I think he is cute, you think Foxflame is cute!" The robin egg blue eyed cream beauty giggled and playfully shoved her sister Streampaw in the shoulder.

The silver- black she cat's flame orange eyes furiously widened, " SHHH!" She growled, but unable to hide her charming smile, she gave a glance at Pebblefoot, " Cats are listening!" She jabbed at her sister with her unsheathed paw.

Pebblefoot quickly glanced away but began to draw closer to the she-cat and her siblings.

Dovepaw's beautiful all-too aqua eyes met his, to his now not-surprise she blushed and her sisters started laughing hysterically.

A striking orange she-cat rose and padded over to the lake-side. Her lithe tiny paw shot into the water, hardly causing a splash due to practicing several times a day, she brought up a large fish and padded back to her sisters.

She- like all the daughters of Mistystar: Dovepaw, Streampaw, and Rebelpaw- were all breath-taking. Each and every one of them was equally unique.

Dovepaw, whom he was blessed to teach, loved flirting, especially with other toms, which drove Pebblefoot to insanity. She was also the most lovely out of the litter. She had a perfectly cream-beige pelt that sleekly pressed against her shapely body and was tinged with bronze at her muzzle, paws, and tail. Her eyes were her most stunning feature, shocking aqua blue.

Streampaw, was the most quiet when without the comforting company of her sisters, but when untied she was the wildest and most fun-loving. She had a pelt much like her mothers, silky, thick and well groomed, but it was silver-black, instead of silver-blue. Their eyes were much the same to, both greenish blue. Streampaw was the smallest, but the most strongly built, she had a well muscled body. Her muscles were always perfect and she was the quickest too.

Rebelpaw, much like her name was rebellious and stubborn, letting her heart lead her where she sometimes did not need to be. her coat was that of Firestar, and they were the exact smae down to their quirky personality and sheer brilliance. Even their almond shaped eyes were the smae perfect shade of emerald. This, of course had caused a suspision when the kits were born, even their father Reedwhisker was nervous. Rebelpaw, though was the most delicatey built.. She had the tinest figure and was more slender than her sisters.


" Er," a familiar voice brought him back into sudden reality. It was his best friend Ponucefoot and his sister, Dapplefur, " Hey! Are you staring at Dawnflower's last kits?"

Dapplefur giggled and gave me a friendly lick, her green eyes twinkled as they normally did and her fur glowed with all its luster. He knew the beautiful warrior she be the object of his affections, everything between them was a match made in Starclan.

Her brother was his best friend, they had been friends since kithood, she liked him, and he liked her. But he liked Dovepaw more.

The clever she-cat Dapplefur knew exactly what the pervey toms were talking about, " If ya want Pebblefoot, I can go talk to them and figure out who each of them likes."

" Uh,"

" Aw, c'ome awn! Ya know ya wanna know!" Pouncefoot chuckled.

I blushed deeply and nodded.

" Well Pebblefoot, are you ready?" She smiled.

" Shuuuuure."

" Okie doke hon'" she purred in her silky sweet voice. She curled her tiny body next to mine and rested her head on my back.

" Streampaw likes Foxflame. Rebelpaw, likes Lightpaw......" her voice stopped and I looked up from my paws to meet her beautiful eyes.

" And?" the tom said softly.

" And," she continued, her voice trembling and nervousness began to roll off her pelt.

" Come awn, Dapplefur!" her brother groaned angrily.

" And," tears rolled down her downy cheeks and she mewled, " I love you, Pebblefoot."

Chapter 16
Its a Hate/ Love Relationship



The bright sun was hardly visible in the thick forest, yet its sunlight warmed the pelts of the cats beneath it. The leaves rustled in the wind as they brushed against each other. Treetops swayed and moaned as the wind flew past them. This was the wind was not the harsh bitter winds of Leaf-bare, nor the dry hot wind of Green-leaf, not even the warm wind of New-leaf, but the perfectly cool, and perfectly crisp wind of Leaf-fall.

On this particular morning a group of cats were hunting. 4 cats to be exact. Marshfoot, his apprentice Evepaw, Tawnypelt, and Flyingpaw. Flyingpaw and Evepaw were kits of Tawnypelt, but she had only come to help train her son because his mentor had been injured. All of their pelts seemed glossy and perfect even as they were tossled around b the wind.

The cool air breezily passed over Marshfoot's face and he closed his eyes to relish the moment. As it left him he whipped around to face his apprentice who was eagerly snacking on a fat squirrel with her brother.

" Oh Evepaw!" Cried Marshfoot as he leaped at her playfully and nipped her ear, " Don't you just love Leaf-fall!?!"

The pair had been best friends since Evepaw's birth, so it was not suprising when her father- the leader, Smokestar- chose Marshfoot to be her mentor. They secretly were lovers. But had decided not to reveal their true feelings until Evepaw became a warrior.

Evepaw giggled and batted at his tail,"Sure."

Tawnypelt laughed lightly. Prey had been running like crazy this leaf-fall, and Shadowclan already had enough fresh-kill to last them through even the harshest Leaf-bares. Of course though, they knew it would go bad, so they decided to store it in a shallow creek. That way it stayed fresh. She rolled her green eyes and curled her mottled tail neatly around her dainty paws.

" Come on you guys," the mother cooed and licked her black pelted daughter, " Lets bring our prey on home."

Everyone darted toward their piles and dragged it on toward camp. After they stored them in their makeshift reservoir, they all broke off. Tawnypelt leaving to Smokestar's den, Marshfoot padding toward his brother, and Evepaw and Flyingpaw hurried to their sister Fantasypaw in the Medicine cat den.

The tiny she-cat was joyful to see them and literally threw herself at them. No one knew it but her best friend, Toadfoot, but she had been battling nightmares and horrific visions of Tigerstar and Hawkfrost. So any time she was not seeing the frightening toms, she was unusually happy.

" Hey guys!" She purred, rubbing her pelt against Flightpaw as she nestled down between him and Evepaw, " How did the hunt go?"

" Awesome!" Both the apprentices laughed in perfect unison.

As the apprentices laughed and chatted away Marshfrost and his brother Toadfoot stared at them.

" So, uh, how is your apprentice, errr, Evepaw coming along?" Toadfoot asked his brother, paying complete attention to Fantasypaw as she shared tongues with her sibling. Ever since they became friends, he had felt a crush toward the strikingly beautiful Medicine cat apprentice, but he knew it could never be. But did he let that crush his hopefulness? No.

" Oh! Really good, did you know I taught her to do a......" As he droned on proudly about his lover Evepaw, Toadfoot could not help but feel a mighty stab of envy pierce his heart. He was so jealous that his brother had found someone, deep down inside Toadfoot knew he had too, but they were never meant to be.

Author's Note- Sorry to those of you who actually read my fanfics, that the wait has been so long we have been having some family issues. You see my kitten( 7 and a half months ) Poppy was hit by a car, and she passed away over Christmas Break, on the last day. Which just about ruined my whole break. Regret can Only Lead to Hatred




......and I am sorry. I am sorry.. Here. I am telling you that I regret what happened, and I'll miss you.



The wild grass, though tangled and long rolled perfectly as the night air brushed through it. The night air chilled the land and swept through it quickly like a plague. The navy sky was dotted with twinkling stars and in a corner hung the fat golden- silver moon. It casted an eerie silver glow on the land beneath it.

Amongst the bone-chilling landscape was a tom who would have sent fear into your core. His broad shoulders and pelt bore hima title that was almost unbeareble to hear without thinking thoughts of the traitorous tom. Bramblestar, in his veins pulsed the blood-lines of two treachorous toms who had once walked the Earth, Tigerstar and Hawkfrost. Any cat who had any resemblence or relation to the cats was looked upon with fear and hatred. His dark tabby fur thickly hid his muscles from sight, but they were there, this was a tom no one should want to anger. Yet, there was a she-cat brave enough, bold enough, and tough enough to do it, Squirrelflight..

Bramblestar could shed no tears over her, they had been dried up and washed away, like an old riverbed. But the thought of her and memories of her felt like claws ripping open his heart and wasps stinging his pelt. Oh,yes he missed her. He greatly missed her, there was not another she-cat like her in the whole clan, but she never loved him. Her heart had been possessed by another who had died and she had only partially given it to him. When she found her lost love again,she took no hesitation in throwing all her love at him. Traitor! Bramblestar's mouth pulled back in a snarl. There were no she-cats in the clan that were compatiblewith him now, and that angered him beyond all belief.

Now there were only three she-cats he cared about.. His sister Tawnypelt, his half-sister Mothwing, and his daughter Hollyfeather. But there was only one he could see right now, just at that moment as he began to make the trip toward her clan he heard a rustling in the grass behind him. The tom whipped around angrily to see three little kits, two staring at him with wide, tear filled eyes, yet one gazed at him sadly,not crying but confused. Instantly the cold tom's heart melted and he staggered toward the kits.

" Brambleclaw," whimpered the youngest and only female, Eclipsekit, " Where did Squirrelflight go?"

Oh StarClan.. growled a fatherly voice in the toms head. Suddenly he had the urge to comfort her, but he had to leave! Poor thing, she desn't know yet, none of 'em do..

" She..." Even tough he hated Squirrelflight bitterly, he had loved her once, and could not bring himself to tell his grandkit what had actually happened, " She left... on an adventure."

The kits faces brightened quickly and they giggled nervously. Then Eclipsekit stumbled forward, followed by her brother Duskkit, then by her cousin Hillkit. All three kits nuzzled briefly with the leader, but they fell asleep. Aww, poor things must've been tired.. Gentley he picked each of them up and brought them back to the Nursery and explained what they were doing to their worried mothers and fathers.

The trip to Riverclan was a short one. He snuck quietly to her den and shook her until she woke. Mothwing had grown accustom to these late night meetings, so she was not startled to see her half- brother.

" Bramblestaaaar." she groaned angrily, " What is it?"

" Well..." He started. As he told her about what had happened a grim look of seriousness replaced the look of annoyance.

" Great StarClan!" She gasped as he told her of the prophecy Fadedpaw had received. This was a strange moment between the two as she said that last word. Both cats knew she had no belief in Starclan, so saying ' Great StarClan!' was a big step up for her.

" I know.. I know, I know!" He whipered in agony, " But it really is not my fault!" He pleaded.

" How could you?" she hissed and swiped a sheathed paw over his ear, " Even I know what you have done!"

When he arrived home, that morning, he told Cloudtail to watch over the clan while he went to MoonPool to find some answers from their ancestors.

But what he found was not answers.

" Bramblestar, what you have done is not good.. Not good indeed." snarled the leader before Firestar, Bluestar, " You have brought doom to my clan!"

" I agree," roared a huge fiery tom who looked much like Firestar himself, but was actually the founder of Thunderclan and it's firsst leader, Thunderstar, " Brambestar what do you propose to do about this?"

" To tell you the truth," he glanced nervously from leader to deputy to leader again, " I have no idea."

The dark tabby hung his head in shame while the leaders and deputies looked upon him in disgust and rage.

Wild Hearts can Never be Tamed

" Hurry!" called the voice of a tom. He laughed as he barreled over the hills. With his brown tabby tail streaking behind him and hi fur blown against his muscular body by the wind he watched as the sun grew larger and larger." Hurry Olivepaw!" giggled a she-cat. Her pale brown paws were wet with morning dew. Bright sapphire eyes twinkling she playfully challenged her friends to a race.
" First one back wins! Last one has to all of our elder duties!"
" Hey! No fair Skypaw!" purred a tiny silver- white apprentice. she danced carefully inbetween her friends bodies as she caught up with the pale brown she-cat, " None of us can do all of that!"
"Yeah!" mrrowed a handsome chocolate brown tom.
" Stop your whining and just hurry! The clan should be awake anytime now!" chuckled Olivepaw as he shot past Skypaw.
" Wha-?" she hissed, " Hey! No fair!"

The slender she-cat rolled her eyes. He was right though, they had been out all night looking for Olivepaw. When they found him they decided to have some fun so they went hunting and played all night. Now it was morning and the sun was rising, when the sun was halfway in the sky Onestar woke, then the whole clan woke. It was creepy that they all knew exactly when to get up. Pushing her creamy brown legs forward she tried to pull into the lead again.

" C'mon Opalpaw!" Skypaw called over her shoulder as she left her tiny sister behind.

" Coming!" Opalpaw mewed and daintily danced her way to the front, her small strides were a pace behind her sisters long ones as she ran along her side. Their pelts brushed together and she could feel Skypaw's muscles coiling and flexing. The beautiful silver-white she-cat smiled in amusement, she had no muscles at all compared to her sisters sleek and smooth ones.

" Faster!" Giggled Gingerpaw as the breath-taking ginger she-cat raced her brother, " You are way to slow for a WindClan cat!"

" Hey!" He growled playfully, " Do you know who you are talking to?! I am the son of Onestar and Whitetail!"

Minkpaw shouldered past his sister and barreled toward the others.

" Oh yeah?" She laughed, " Well I am their daughter!"

She suddenly let the wind and the hills take control of her, she opened her soul and let the souls of previous WindClan cats enter her. With this new energy given to her as a gift from StarClan she blindly ran past her friends, her pelt was but a blur in their eyes as she bolted past them.

" Yes!" Cried Gingerpaw, " I win!"

The she-cat laughed hysterically as her friends appeared on the moor, rushing toward her like mad twolegs. Olivepaw reached her first, the tom clamped a paw over her mouth and silenced her.

" Shh! You will wake everyone you furball!" He chuckled.

Navy blue eyes cautiously scanned the moor. The small bush where he and his best friends- all the other apprentices- slept was surrounded by the mounds of fur. He laughed softly then checking the moor one last time the brown tabby set off like a bullet shooting faster and faster to reach his target.

" Leafpaw?"

His low voice wavered as his eyes despratley searched for his friends beautiful amber fur. Why was she not here? Leafpaw was never late... Maybe, she did not come. Olivepaw hung his head sadly.

" Nope, her sister."

" Wha-?!" The WindClan tom cried out. His voice piercing the night.

He tried to move, but his legs were useless, that she-cat had the voice of an angel, tempting him to seek her, but he had to leave, no one could know about him and Leafpaw!

" S'okay," giggled the voice, and round ice blue eyes greeted his navy ones, " I told you I am her sister, do you really think I am going to hurt you?"

" Well.."

The she-cat who had sounded a good distance away glided her way toward him. The moonlight that dimly hung over his head seemed to brighten as she stepped into the light. She was just as beautiful if not more lovely than her sister.

" Who are you?" Olivepaw gasped.

" I am Echopaw." She smiled at him.

StarClan, she is beautiful! He gawked. Her pelt was rich in luster, and deep black in color. He could imagining reaching out and feeling kit fur like silk or velvet. On her chest was a rebellious white dab, it looked as if a kit had smeared white on her pelt to stand out. It looked perfect on her. Her eyes were her most shocking feature, if you looked at her pelt before looking into those eyes you would die of shock and wonder. They were a gorgeous ice blue. She was not like her tiny, dainty, petite sister, Leafpaw. She was tall and had long legs and a fluffy tail wrapped around her tiny paws.

" Hey. I am Olivepaw."
