Prologue:
A shimmering figure padded from stone to stone before coming to rest in front of a glistening pool of water. He brought a paw to the liquid; his green gaze scanning the ripples.
“How many moons has it been since you and your kin were given your rank in Starclan, Firestar?” The mew echoed through the clearing. The sheer softness and affection in it seemed to cut through the thickness of the silence.
The warrior pressed tighter to the stone on which he perched. “Several Spottedleaf... has it been three clan leaders or four. Maybe even five, perhaps?”
“Seven, dear one.”
The tortoise-shell let out a sigh before glancing to the hedges. In the grasses, shadowed by the large maple trees; figures sat, their pelts still illuminated by moonlight.
“Hello, Snowcloud, Owlclaw, and Dustfur and…” The she-cat seemed to be surprised by the fourth visitor, “Jaywing.”
The four starry warriors made their way to where the ancient leader and medicine cat sat; they each took a seat at the glowing pool.
“Firestar, we have come to help.”
The ginger tom’s gaze met Jaywing’s blue eyes before he raised his head from the pool.
“And I’ll ask help for what?”
A look of grief passed over the former Starclan interpreter. Even his attitude for things medicine cat changed as he matured.
“Darkness grows where shadows lay… waiting to taste your blood.”
A chilling wind blew, ruffling the pelts of the fallen cats as their gaze became locked on Jaywing.
Firestar gave a muffled growl. “What does it mean?”
The medicine cat shook his smoky gray head. “As you should know…even Starclan doesn’t know all.”
With that said, he and the other two toms faded back into the trees leaving Snowcloud with Firestar and Spottedleaf.
The snowy she-cat was the great grandchild of Firestar, along with her brothers, Dustfur and Owlclaw. Her own father had been Lionfur, son of Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw. Her mother was the soft and sweet Icepool, daughter of Dustpelt and Ferncloud.
After Lionfur gave up Heatherleaf has an apprentice, he had begun to pad after Icepool soon as she became an apprentice herself. After the pretty she-cat’s warrior ceremony, she soon entered the nursery excepting his kits.
Firestar’s gaze softened for her.
“Snowcloud…is there something you wish tell us.”
The white she-cat’s amber eye’s held anguish, as she prodded the water with one, small snowy paw. Ripples moved to reveal another white she-cat, this one with ginger patches along its flank. The cat seemed to be in much pain
Firestar stared at the image. This was the descendent of Snowcloud’s own kits with Berrynose. Swiftstream.
“Swiftstream’s kits are coming. They will hold the fate of Starclan on their shoulders; one more than the others.” She mewed.
The ancient clan leader watched the scene below for a moment. A frantic grey tom nosed over Swiftstream before darting out of the den.
Firestar’s eyes rose to meet Snowcloud’s amber ones.
“The one who guides…”
The voice echoed off the walls of a medicine cat’s mind before she awoke with a start. The Thunderclan cat’s breathing was heavy has she stood and shook herself. She gazed anxiously around her den filled with herbs, seemly reassuring herself that she was really awake.
“Mothleaf! The kits are coming! Swiftstream’s kits!” A grey body yowled as it came to a skidding halt in the middle of Mothleaf’s den.
“Shall save all we’ve ever known….”

I'm glad to hear you like it! I should chapter one up soon. It's about half way done.
Lionfur= Lionpaw
Icepool= Icekit
.... I think Lionpaw's the evil one out the three. The ending of 'Dark River' seemed to say it for me. Or Erin Hunter could surprise us all and make it Hollypaw;)

Ch. One: Flashing One
“All cats old enough to catch their own prey join under high rock for a clan meeting!” A large grey tom yowled. His voice echoed through out the camp, sending cats slithering out from under their dens. They stretched in the fading afternoon light.
A rust colored tom joined the leader. His claws scratched the surface of the stone before he pulled himself up to settle next to grey cat. His tail wrapped neatly around his paws, its white tip flicking occasionally.
Ivyclaw, a small brown she-cat, struggled out of the elders den. “This better be good Stonestar! You better have a good reason for pulling me away from my nice warm moss.” She hissed glaring up at her kin with sharp amber eyes.
The large tom stared at the old she-cat with his own yellow eyes before a laughing purr left his jaws. “I assure you, Ivyclaw, I didn’t bring you away from your precious bedding for nothing, making Warriors and apprentices is something we, and any clan, all love to see.”
His amber gaze turned to a fluffy, flame colored tom with a single white-paw. The cat sat with its chest puffed with pride. His mentor, a white warrior, sat near him. His eyes flickered to the leader and back to his apprentice. Did he imagine the almost downy tom starring down at him someday?
“Snowpelt brought it to my attention that Falconpaw has finished his training and is ready to become a warrior.”
A murmur of agreement and excited mews arose from the throng of cats.
“I have observed him and agree. Falconpaw come forward.” Even being already aware of his ceremony; Falconpaw looked ready to burst with happiness. A soft nudge from his mentor gave the tom the start toward high rock.
“I call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in they’re turn. Falconpaw, do you promise to follow the warrior code and defend this clan at even the cost of your life?”
The leader gazed down at the young cat. Falconpaw was quivering with excitement.
“I do.” He mewed
“Then by the powers of Starclan, I give you you’re warrior name. Falconpaw, from this day forward, you shall be known as Falconstrike-“
“Falconstrike! Go Falconstrike!”
Heads turned to face the nursery entrance where an embarrassed golden-brown queen sat with a tortoise-shell kit between her paws. “Dawnkit, Hush!”
Next to them, two white she-kits broke out into amused purrs. The two sisters let out a squeak as they were pushed from behind, sending them into a heap on the dusty ground.
“Hush you two. You were a moon old once too.”
The green-eyed of the two kittens, stared up at her mother. “Yes, but we’re apprentices today!” She mewed.
“Then act like it, Moonkit.”
A sleek jet black tom made its way to the sisters. His yellow eyes narrowed at the prettier of the she-kits has she yowled, “Shut up Shadowkit!”
He raised a paw to swipe at her nose-
“-Thunderclan welcomes you as full warriors.”
The finishing of warrior ceremony gave the kits attentions back to the massive Stonestar and Falconstrike. The golden brown she-cat, Brackenwing, was already darting across the clearing to give her oldest kit, furious licks of glee across the ears.
Stonestar began to speak again. His voice stopped the loud cheering for the newly named warrior. “As per tradition, Falconstrike will hold a silent vigil over the clan tonight-”
“-While we get a goodnight's sleep!” Ivyclaw cut in again.
Stonestar shook his head. “Yes, Ivyclaw but, first I have another ceremony to perform.”
“That’s us!” the excited mewl admitted from the nursery as the two white kits came bounding forth, tripping over themselves as they ran to come to a skidding stop on they’re paws. A smaller gray kit trotted out followed more slowly by Shadowkit.
“I must perform one of my favorite jobs as clan leader. Icekit, Moonkit, Featherkit and Shadowkit have reached they’re six moon of life. It is time to make them apprentices.”
"I call upon my warriors ancestors to look down upon these kits. They would like to become warriors of Thunderclan but, first they must become an apprentice. Icekit, Moonkit, Featherkit, Shadowkit, from this day forth until you have earned warrior names you will be known as Icepaw, Moonpaw, Featherpaw, and Shadowpaw.”
“Boulderstep, soon your time as a warrior will come to an end and you’ll leave for the elders den. Do you wish to become a mentor one last time?”
A thick set black tom came to the front of the cats. “Yes.”
“Than you shall train, Icepaw, Train her to become a fine warrior that Thunderclan can be proud of.”
The old tom gave a laughing mew as he bent to touch noses with the green-eyed she-cat. “Of course, I didn’t do a bad job with you did I?”
Stonestar’s pelt prickled with embarrassment.
"Yes.. uh, well," The gray leader gestured towards a slim golden dappled she-cat who sat sheltered in the shade of the medicine den.
“Mothleaf, you came to me asking for your apprentice. You will mentor Featherpaw. She has been a constant figure in your den and I believe you will train her to be a medicine cat all of Starclan will be proud of.”
The she-cat nodded her agreement. “This clan will never see a cat die of sickness again.”
She and Featherpaw touched noses before moving off to the crowd. A gray queen approached, meowing her concerns to Mothleaf, while giving the fur on Featherpaw’s back some fretful licks.
“Sandfur,” Stonestar started again. A light brown tom turned away from a off black warrior, who was staring longingly at the last of the twin sisters to be apprenticed. He moved away to stand in front of his leader. “Yes?”
“You are young warrior but, do you believe you could take on an apprentice?”
Sandfur’s answer was simple. “Yes of course.”
Stonestar nodded. “Very well, you shall mentor Moonpaw. Train her hard in ways of the warrior code.”
The tom mewed in amusement. “Your kin is safe with me, Stonestar and Swiftstream.” His amber gaze drifted to the ginger dappled she-cat near the nursery.
The mentor and apprentice moved touched noses. The smaller white she-cat tripped as she stretched to touch her pink nose to her mentor’s. Her green eyes gleamed.
“At last Shadowpaw… I shall train you myself.”
The black apprentice stared up at the great bulky leader, his yellow eyes narrowing with displeasure. “Yes, Stonestar.” His tone carried hostility, more so than any average kit dared or even a warrior dared to give to the strong leader of Thunderclan.
The two touched noses and Shadowpaw moved back through the cats, ignoring the calls of them. He took one last look back. Past the noise of the yowling, his leader still stood on the rock, high above the rest. He was looking directly at the black tom. Amber locked with amber before Shadowpaw snorted, pushing his way through the brambles of the apprentice den.
“He didn’t seem very happy…” Foxheart noted before turning to face the big cat next to him on the cold surface of the rock.
Stonestar was already turning away. “He’ll just have to face that disappointment won’t he?” And with that, he pushed through the lichen blocking his den… his amber eyes flashing in the fading light.
There's chapter one. Sorry for the long wait.
