Disclaimer: I dont own warriors, I do in my dreams though. Beta: None Cover: None, yet. Author's Notes: All of the cats are my own, although Runningwind is from the books. I didnt realise until I was typing up my story. There are lots more cats, and they all have descriptions. Also, Spritepaw is my favourite to write about, the way he is so moody, he reminds me of Dustpelt. Prologue “Two moons ago, Thunderclan announced that twolegs had settled near the Sandy Hollow. Just one moon ago, Windclan announced that twoleg nests were being built near their camp” Nightstar told the cats of Riverclan, “Now, Spiritcloud tells me towleg nest are near here too!” she nodded to acknowledge the shocked gasps. “I shall travel to The Moonstone tonight!” * Nightstar padded towards the warriors den, she pushed her nose inside, “Coldheart?” she mewed. A dark, tabby warriors head appeared from the sea of sleeping cats, “Yes, Nightstar?” “I would like it if you could accompany me to The Moonstone. I’m worried about the fate of Riverclan, bring Fangpaw as well” she turned and padded back to her den, dragging her paws as if they were made of stone. Fangpaw was sat outside of his den, washing his paws with a delicate pink tongue. ”Ready for the next part of your training?”Coldheart mewed as he padded over. Fangpaw stood up and purred, his shining eyes giving away his answer. “Go see Snowfang; she’ll give you what you need” Fangpaw titled his head questionly but Coldheart said no more. Fangpaw bounded into the medicine den, the sweet smell of herbs filling his nose. Snowfang was sorting through herbs when she heard Fangpaw come in, “Ahh, Fangpaw, you’ll be needing these” she purred. She passed the apprentice a package of herbs, she brushed her cheek against Fangpaw “Be carefull,”she whispered. “Fangpaw!”Nightstars yowl reached across the clearing, Fangpaw turned to follow his leader. He gulped down the herbs “Ugh!” he spat but Coldheart silenced him with a stare. “We shall leave now” Nightstar mewed, noticing Fangpaws bemused look she added, “To the Moonstone.” Fangpaws eyes widened and shone brightly, “The Moonstone!” he purred excitedly. Nightstar nodded, “But we must leave now!”

Chapter One
The ground shook beneath Nightstars feet. Her eyes widened as the trees in front of her collapsed, plucked by the paws of Starclan. She turned to see the rest of Riverclan, shaking with fear, filling her with no hope.
Nightstar turned and ran out of the cave. “We need to go home” she mewed, though the cats didn’t need to hurry.
The journey was slow, Coldheart bounded away to hunt and returned with two fat rabbits and a large thrush, Fangpaw purred and padded over, he looked at his leader eagerly. “You may eat” she mewed. Fangpaw picked up a rabbit and sat down to eat his appealing meal. Once the cats had finished their meal, they buried the bones respectively, and continued their journey home. Fangpaw dived over a hill, and at the sight of the river, flowing over smoothed down rocks, his tail twitched excitedly.
It was sunhigh when the cats reached camp. Fangpaw padded into the apprentices den and tucked his nose under his thick tail. He didn’t wake from his deep slumber when Nightstar called a clan meeting, “I have news that will affect the clan greatly” she yowled, “As you know, I travelled to the moonstone last night; there Starclan shared with me a terrifying prophecy. For this reason, we must leave here temporarily” Many of the cats stayed silent, but an angry hiss came from the crowd,
“What of the other clans, do they too have to have their lives ripped apart?” Spottedtail the young queen asked angrily.
“I understand your anger, Spottedtail. That is why I will be sending Spiritcloud to the other clans” with a flick of her tail the cats left their places beneath the highrock and padded away. Spiritcloud bounded over to Nightstar, “When shall I leave?” she mewed. “Now” the leader meowed, “Ask the other leaders if they too have received messages from Starclan.”
Spiritcloud dipped her head respectively and bounded away from camp. Her shoulders felt weighed down with responsibility, and she felt desperate to complete her first warrior mission. Would she complete it?

Chapter Two
Spiritcloud bounded over a grassy plain until she reached the river, she slipped in and swam across, her strong legs beating against the current strongly. She slithered out of the running water and stretched out. The water dripped of her shiny coat. Spiritcloud padded over to Sunning Rocks and rolled over on them. She purred as she felt their warmth and rested on there for a while, but once she remembered her warrior mission she jumped up and carried on walking. She had to be more aware now. She was in hostile territory!
She padded through the training hollow, half expecting half hoping for someone to be there. But there were none. She sniffed the ground and followed the trail into the centre of the camp.
Cats stared at her but she stared defiantly back, desperate not to provoke an attack. But before she could open her mouth to speak a cat crashed into her from the side. She twisted her body to see Stormclaw on top of her. “I’m, not…here…to attack” she panted.
Storm eye jumped off her, clearly embarrassed, his hackles still raised. “I need to speak with Rainstar and Summerbreeze” she mewed.
Almost right on cue, Rainstar padded out from the Bracken in her den. Spiritcloud bowed her head respectively. “Summerbreeze is busy you have a lot of explaining to do, like why you are in our territory for starters!”
Spiritcloud looked up, “After the gatherings, Nightstar was worried. She travelled to the Moonstone and found out Riverclan fate. We must leave for some moons. She wondered if you too had received any signs from Starclan” The young warrior felt uneasy with all the cats’ gazes on her.
Rainstar shook her head, “Starclan have been silent with me and Summerbreeze recently” she paused to gaze briefly at Silverpelt, “Do the other clans know?” she asked. “No, I’m going to Shadowclan next” Spiritcloud mewed. “They may be hostile, Snailstep and Mintclaw will accompany you to their camp, now go!” the leader yowled. Would the cats survive Shadowclan?

Chapter Three
The three warriors turned and sprinted towards Snakerocks “This way will be quicker” Mintclaw yowled as she ran on past Spiritcloud.
They turned a corner past the Great Sycamore, and a foul stanch hit the roof of Spiritclouds mouth. The Thunderpath! The cats crept forwards until they were right on the verge, a monster tore past and Spiritcloud screwed up her mouth in disgust. “Now!” Snailstep spat suddenly, the cats shot across the Thunderpath quickly.
A rustle in the bush nearby made the warriors exchange anxious glances, just a moment later a grey tabby shot out taking Mintclaw by surprise. Both the cats wrestled fiercely until the grey cat, Spritepaw jumped off and started licked his paw. “What are you doing here you…”he sniffed the air” Thunderclan and Riverclan scum” the apprentice spat” Well well, and alliance, Woodstar will be pleased.” the young cat mocked.
“Actually, we would like to see your leader; will you take us to your camp?” Snailstep asked. Spritepaw studied the cats for a moment, “No, Shadowclan doesn’t want our camp infected by kittypets” he sneered” wait here, Ill fetch Woodstar.
Once Spritepaw was a safe way in the distance Spiritcloud snorted, “If I wasn’t on a mission…” Snailstep and Mintclaw nodded in agreement
Spiritclouds belly rumbled, but she held back the instinct to hunt. A rustle came from the same bush Spritepaw had attacked from, and the warriors turned to see Woodstar, Spritepaw and a Shadowclan warrior emerge from the shrub.
Spiritcloud and the Thunderclan warriors bowed their heads respectively, but Spiritcloud couldn’t help taking a look at the Shadowclan leaders muscley shoulders. “Explain!” he yowled, his voice louder than thunder.
“At the Moonstone, Nightstar learned Riverclans fate; we must leave for a short while. She was wondering if you too have learnt anything.” Woodstar shook his head, “Leave our territory, now!”
The warrior’s left Shadowclan territory; Spiritcloud could sense that the others were as relived to be out of Shadowclan as she was. “We will escort you to Fourtrees, then we will return home” the Thunderclan warrior, Mintclaw mewed.
The cats turned into Fourtrees and sat down. Spiritcloud licked her paws, aching from their long journey. “We must leave you now” Mintclaw mewed. “Riverclan thanks you” Spiritcloud mewed, nodding her head. The Thunderclan warriors bounded away.
Spiritcloud decided to run for the last part, right across the open plain. It didn’t take long, after jumping over a few rocks, to reach Windclan camp.
A warrior jumped up and greeted her, “Spiritcloud, how are you?” he mewed. The warrior was Darttail, a tom she had met at the gathering. “I’m good thank you, where is Froststar? I need to speak to her”
“I’m here” a grey she-cat stood up and stretched, “What is it? Spiritcloud told the same story to the Windclan leader. “Starclan did share something with me, although I would prefer to tell Nightstar myself”
The leader looked at Spiritcloud. “Its late you must be hungry, eat and then sleep here tonight” she ordered. Spiritcloud nodded, not turning down freshkill and a warm bed for the night. She ate a mouse quickly, and then settled down in the warriors den.
It was past sunhigh when Spiritcloud woke; her paws ached and were tender from her long journey. She licked a cut that she had only just noticed from the night before and un-curled slowly. A dark brown cat greeted her, “Hi, I’m Willowclaw” she purred, “Excited?” Spiritcloud shot her a bemused look, but was interrupted by a yowl, “Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath Highrock for a Clan meeting!” Froststar addressed the clan, “I was told a prophecy, you will find out soon enough, so I shall tell you now” excited mews rippled through the crowd and Froststar shot Spiritcloud a look” Starclan shared this with me “Freshkill will be shared”
The cats left their places and carried on as they were before. Spiritcloud padded over to the Windclan leader, “Firstar, I thank you for your kindness, but I must return home now” she mewed. Froststar nodded, “Not without me and Hawkeye though, Nightheart guard the camp. I have to escort Spiritcloud home”
The three cats padded through the gorse tunnel and Spiritcloud burnt with pride. A leader was escorting her home!
The cats turned and ran down a grassy slope. Spiritclouds ears pricked as she listened for the crashing sound of the river up ahead. She purred once she saw it and dived in, she swam to the other side and for the first time since she had left on her journey, she realised something. She had done her mission. [/i]Had she done the right thing bringing back Windclan?

Chapter Four
She looked across the river and saw Froststar and Hawkeye stand by the edge. The put a paw in, that pulled it out. They couldn’t swim!
Spiritcloud began to panic, before she heard rustling in the trees. Brokenclaw, the Riverclan deputy, Coldheart and Fangpaw stepped out from behind them. “Spiritcloud!” Brokenclaws surprised mew sounded so familiar to Spiritcloud that she purred. “Brokenclaw, can you help me get these cats across?” she mewed.
Brokenclaw nodded and with a flick of his tail he and Coldheart slipped into the river. They dragged Froststar and Hawkeye across, despite their protesting squeaks. “Why are you home so early?” Brokenclaw asked once they were out of the water. “I ran!” Spiritcloud purred. Her paws felt like they were going to drop off and she longed for some poppy seeds to send her to sleep and relief the pain.
The six cats bounded into camp and Nightstar jumped up, her tail twitching in anticipation. “Did you find everyone already?” but she didn’t wait for an answer when she saw Froststar, “Froststar, may I help you?” she mewed. “No but I can help you,” she glanced at the highrock, “May I?” Nightstar nodded.
Froststar jumped on the highrock, once all of the cats were seated she yowled, “AS you all know, your leader received a prophecy as did I. Then last night Spiritcloud came and told me you had to leave your home. My prophecy became very clear that moment” “What was your prophecy?” a yowl belonging to Bluetoe asked. “Freshkill will be shared!” many cats gasped. Was this an invitation from Windclan to join them?

Chapter Five
Nightstar jumped up onto the rock, “I will discuss this with my senior warriors and Froststar” she yowled. Her, Froststar and Brokenclaw and Stoneclaw bounded into her den.
Spiritcloud bounded into Snowfangs den and found the medicine cat with Spottedtail, the young queen. “Do you have anything for my paws?” she mewed, “They are killing me!” Snowfang nodded and brought out a dried poppy head, “Have no more than four” she warned. Spiritcloud nodded, she carried it carefully back to the warriors den and shook out four. She chewed them and sleep finally overcame her.
“Froststar, what do you mean “Freshkill will be shared?” although Nightstar already knew. “Come and live with us, just until you are ready to return. No need to explain, just come!” Froststars eyes shone brightly. “It would be easier than starting from scratch” Stoneclaw mewed wisely. Nightstar nodded in agreement, “Very well. Brokenclaw, is the clan fit to travel?” “Yes, Spottedtail is close to kitting though, we must leave soon” “Tonight?” Froststar mewed questionly. The Riverclan cats nodded.
“Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath Highrock for a Clan meeting!” Nightstar yowled. “Everyone eat, we must leave to join Windclan soon” no cat gasped this time. Everyone new, the story had spread like a den fire!
“Coldheart organise leaving parties, I want Spottedtail in the second” Nightstar jumped down from the highrock.
“Bluetoe, Snowfang, Brokenclaw, Fangpaw and Spiritcloud will go first, Froststar will lead you” Coldheart mewed.” I, Nightstar Hawkeye and Spottedtail will go after.”
The cats ran towards the river, Coldheart stayed back with Spottedtail, the unborn kit was his own. The first party ran on while the second party padded slowly behind, waiting and stopping whenever Spottedtail needed to rest.
As soon as the cats neared Windclan Hawkeye bounded forward. He disappeared in the bracken and the rest of the cats followed.
The Windclan cats went into their dens and resumed their daily routines, while the Riverclan cats stood there feeling out-of-place and uncomfortable.
Snowpelt bounded over to the cats, “Hey want a tour?” the pale warrior mewed. Coldheart nodded and the cats followed Snowpelt. Would the Riverclan cats fit in?

Chapter Six
Two days had passed since the Riverclan cats had joined Windclan, and friends were being made already. Snowfang and Pearleye were sharing tips, Pinktoe was helping Spottedtail and prepare her kitting and Fallenpaw and Fangpaw were becoming close friends. Only Nightstar felt uneasy. This wasn’t usual. Clans were supposed to be separate. Not sharing dens!
Fang paw was sat in the apprentices den when Coldheart poked his nose in, “Com one” he mewed, “I’m going to show you how to hunt rabbits” Fangpaw purred and padded out. “This way” Coldheart mewed as he bounded away from camp.
“Now you know that a rabbit hears you, but you still need to be careful where you place your paws, don’t be reckless” Coldheart warned his apprentice. Was this what life was going to be like now on?
