Chapter 1
The dawn sun made the small drops of dew sparkle. It was peaceful throughout ThunderClan camp. The sun had only just risen and already faces appeared. Making their way to the fresh kill pile, the bodies of warriors, apprentices, elders, kits and queens fleshed out the camp. It was a beautiful place to call home. As the cats parted and fanned out two cats slipped away. One tabby the other ginger.
“Dreams from Tigerstar?!?” The flame colored she-cat hissed, “How long have you been keeping this from me?” She was far from calm but still Brambleclaw battled back.
“Only one or two moons before Hawkfrost’s death Squirrelflight.” The tom's reply was calm sending the ginger warrior over the edge.
“What? How could you not find this important!” The she screeched.
“Not all of my life details you need to know!” Brambleclaw spat back. Eyes narrowed and Squirrelflight turned with a final “humph” she headed back to camp. Brambleclaw had already started in the other direction into the waking forest.
~♥~
“He was training with Tigerstar! And yet he did not think of telling me!” Squirrelflight was steaming and this early in the morning Leafpool really did not want to deal with her sister. It was the same thing over again and the Medicine cat was just too tired to care for her sister's problem.
“He is meant to love me! We re not meant to keep secrets from each other!”
Squirrelflight had started to pace.
“Oh and you have never kept secrets from him?” The medicine cat asked. Her sister fell silent. “Calm down anyway! I am sure he did not tell you because he did not want to put you into any danger. He is a sensitive tom.” Leafpool yawned.
“Not hurt me? Sensitive? You sound like father when he talks about Spottedleaf!” Squirrelflight spat turning she exited the Medicine Cat’s den. Leafpool sighed settling down again hopping to retrieve those hours of sleep her sister had stolen from her. It was not going to happen though. The restless she-cat climbed to her feet. Her sleep would have been disturbed even if it existed. She was in need in some herbs anyway. Making her way to the camp exited she sighed. It was peaceful just what she need because even though she hated to admit it Leafpool was fuming. Her sister was lucky to be able to love when she was not. And Squirrelflight, in her own special way, rubbed it into her face. Then the cherry on top told her she sounded as if she was in love with Brambleclaw! How dare she? How could she love Brambleclaw?
“She get to you too?” The voice scared the Medicine Cat. Flipping around she came face to face with the tabby warrior.
“Umm... Yeah.” Leafpool meowed awkwardly.
“Here, lets take a walk.” Brambleclaw meowed. With a nod Leafpool padded after the tabby tom.
