Chapter One ~*~*~*~*~
It was a dark night in leaf-bare. The branches of the trees creaked and groaned as the midnight wind rocked them. The soft thumping of snow as it slid from the branches and hit the forest floor could be heard, and the sighing of the wind as it whisped through the trees.
A small kit, unnoticed to the rest of the world, lay in a nest of snow, his fur frozen in some places. He was shivering violently, and the parts fo his fur that was not caked in ice was fluffed up against the cold. His name was Venomkit.
Venomkit's eyes were closed, the color unknown, for his parents had abandoned him at a young age. His midnight-black fur made it hard for others to spot him in the darkness. He was large, even for a kit, his long-furred coat was dirty and matted. He smelled of crowfood, that of which he had been forced to eat when his parents had left him to die in winter. But his parents had left him for a good reason. This kit was a murderer.
Unknowingly to him, and all others around him, Venomkit was being controlled by the legendary Jaggedstar. Jaggedstar was evil, and had served no one, only himself. He was selfish and cruel, and the four Clan's of the forest; DawnClan, MountainClan, DewClan, and EmberClan; had driven him out, and he had been killed by a fox.
But now, his spirit lived on in the young kit, making him see evil and darkness in everyone, and making him want to kill. Venomkit would be his puppet, carrying out his deeds, and continuing what he could not in his death. He would make Venomkit wipe out the four Clans, and take revenge on the cats that had caused Jaggedstar his death.
Venomkit lay unmoving in his nest of snow. But the little kit was not dead. Stirring slightly, he got to his paws. Unseeing, he used his nose to guide him to the rotting bird he had found the night before. Dipping his head, ignoring the revolting scent that wafted from the crowfood, he took a bite. When he had eaten his fill, he turned his head to the skies, where Jaggedstar was watching him. And slowly, Venomkit opened his eyes. They were a shocking scarlet, reflecting his evil.
Venomkit's journey had begun.

Chapter Two ~*~*~*~*~
"Hey, Shadowpaw, over here!" An exited cry broke the silence in the apprentices den, where a single cat was sleeping, his black tail tucked around his nose as he sulked, silently. That must be Shadowpaw and her friends, he thought lividly. Nosy, stuck up little she-cats they are, so stupid they couldn't catch a mouse if it sat between their paws! He hissed under his breath, but didn't dare to repeat his dark thoughts aloud. His eyes were closed, unseeing to the world, for he didn't wish to gaze at just the leafy branches of the confined den. He was saved any further thinking by a she-cats meow at the entrance to the den.
"Venompaw, Snowfeather was looking for you," it said, not unkindly. "She wants you to meet her by Sunset Rock."
Venompaw reluctantly opened his eyes to survey the speaker. It was Shadowpaw, her elegant black fur glowing softly in the sunlight; ice-blue eyes sparkling innocently.
But you won't be innocent for much longer! Venompaw almost snarled aloud. Everyone knows of the prophecy they spoke of you, everyone but you yourself! I know that it probably means me, but I'll let you saddle all the blame, then when it weighs you down, I'll kill you, too, like I killed Barkpaw!
Venompaw had indeed slaughtered Barkpaw, a small brown tabby apprentice who had gotten in the way of his hunt. Barkpaw had heard him muttering his evil thoughts aloud, and had confronted him while he was hunting for himself. He had threatened to tell, so Venompaw had slaughtered him mercilessly, and in cold blood. He felt no guilt, and the killing had given him a certain exhilaration, a desire to slaughter, again.
"Whatever," he muttered, his voice cold. "I'll be there in a moment." He washed briefly, taking any stray scraps of moss out of his fur; before stalking out of the den. His red eyes glinted, and even Shadowpaw glanced at him warily as he exited camp.
I don't care what they think! They can all hate me, it won't matter, for I want every last one of them dead! The strength of his newest ambition was great, but deep inside, it wasn't his choice. His heart had been blackened by Jaggedstar's grip, and he couldn't struggle away.
A sudden thought came to mind. And I already know my next victim...

Chapter Three ~*~*~*~*~*
A cool breeze blew over the soft grass around Sunset Rock; creating a soft; whooshing sound. The amber sunset was just dipping below the trees, and it created a fiery edge on the leaves of the trees, making it look like the land was rimmed with fire. It was a beautiful sight, but Venomkit was oblivious to its magnificence in his evil.
On the rock, which; besides the trees; was the only thing breaking the beautiful rays of sunlight, sat a lone cat; awaiting Venompaw's arrival. As he approached, she jumped down, her white pelt; turned silver in the sunlight; rippling. Her lean yet powerful muscles showed clearly under her beautiful pelt, and her leaf-green eyes glowed softly. "Ah, Venompaw, I see you have arrived. I assume Shadowpaw warned you, as I intended?" Her voice was merry, and it sounded like the trickling of a stream in new-leaf.
"Yes, Snowfeather," he muttered, dipping his head. He knew he would have to appear respectful, else he'd be forced to look after the grumpy DawnClan elders Barkfoot and Tawnytail again. His red eyes glinted, but Snowfeather had turned toward the sparkling sunset, so she took no notice.
DawnClan cats, like herself and Venompaw; had a certain strength in the light; it did not hurt their eyes as it did the eyes of the other Clans. The amber fire of the sunset turned even Venompaw's dark pelt silver, and his eyes reflected its fiery glow.
"Very good, then we can get started on our training, I assume?" she asked him. Her pretty voice had no affect on him, and it did not waver his certainty of what he intended to do.
"Well, what did you have in mind?" he replied, hiding the ice in his tone.
"Well, I thought a little battle practice would do you good, according to Lionsong and Owlmist you were doing well when I was sick, right? Well I want to asses your skill, if that's alright with you?"
Perfect, she's given me a clear path with my ambitions, he realized, and even he couldn't keep the malicious grin off his small features.
Snowfeather; unfortunately; noticed his look as well. "Venompaw, what are you doing?" she asked, a hard edge creeping into her silvery tone as she flexed her claws on the hard ground.
"Getting my revenge," snarled Venompaw; in a voice that was no longer his. Snowfeather recognized the change in his tone; and froze in terror. She recalled a time when she was only a kit in the nursery; hearing the same voice as Jaggedstar had slaughtered her mother. She saw the small apprentice's ambition, but for her; it was already too late. He sprang at her, and sunk his thorn-sharp fangs into her neck; biting down until he tasted blood; salty and pure on his tongue.
Venompaw released his mentor, letting her fall to the ground, crimson blood pouring from a jagged wound in her neck. But he was not satisfied; not yet. He licked her blood; drinking in her life, then slashed her body; again and again, with a burning passion he destroyed her once beautiful form, her white fur matted with blood; pelt mangled with many wounds.
Venompaw glared at her; red eyes gleaming, then turned with indifference and stalked back to camp.

I enjoyed this chapter, mostly because I like fanfictions with quick action and/or suspense. (Which can sometimes be hard) Good Job again~ ^__^
Edit: o3o I just realized that I would be quite interested in some she-cat had a crush on Venomkit, or if he ever mated at some point before he was discovered (if her is). Though, It's your decision. :3

Chapter Four ~*~*~*~*~
"Hey, Venompaw, where's Snowfeather?" The voice came from Shadowpaw, as she bounced toward him, icy eyes twinkling.
At the sound of her voice, Venompaw looked up, he had been staring at his paws, which were now cleared of all traces of his mentors blood and fur. "Oh, Shadowpaw," he mewed, letting a mock depression enter his voice, "we were attacked by a fox, and Snowfeather, she... fought so bravely, then I tried to save her, but it was too late..."
Shadowpaw's glossy black pelt bristled in shock. "Snowfeather... gone? No..." Snowfeather had been a close friend of Thornstar's, and all the cats knew her well. "Oh, Venompaw," she meowed softly.
When she spoke to him, Venompaw felt an odd tickle run up and down his spine. Argh! What was that? What does it mean? he wondered as he looked into her ice-blue gaze. He was beginning to feel distant, like he was losing himself in her soft stare, when she meowed loudly.
"Venompaw? Are you alright? I said should we go and warn Thornstar of the fox?"
"Wha?" he said, then shook his head and recovered. "Erm, yeah..." At that moment, Jaggedstar tightened his grip, and cold indifference swept over him once more.
Thornstar was padding out of his den when he spotted the two apprentices. 'Venompaw, Shadowpaw," he addressed them. "Do you have something to tell me?"
Shadowpaw looked expectantly at Venompaw, who yowled in mock grief. "Snowfeather! She's gone!"
Thornstar froze, his eyes as wide as the full moon. "Snow...." he stated, then broke off shaking his head in disbelief. "Snowfeather? But..." Tears swam in his amber gaze.
He was in love with her! Venompaw realized; or rather; Jaggedstar did. Ah, the satisfaction of tearing relationships apart...
At the thought of relationships, Venompaw's other half of conscience took over slightly. "He wasn't the only one in love..."

Rin is worse, believe me, she killed her best friend in the book. And she feels no regret, and yet Storm and Elizabeth still follow her... she serves the notorious Dark Kigdom... so evil...

Chapter Five ~*~*~*~*~
"Shadowpaw, watch out!" Cherrypaw's anguished screech fills the air as a massive EmberClan warrior leaps at her. His fangs are bared and his thorn-sharp claws lunge at her throat.
Venompaw's better conscience took over suddenly, and he hissed, lunging at the massive brown tabby, red eyes flashing as he landed squarely on the toms huge back, and but hard into his leg.
The tabby screeched in pain, and Shadowpaw raced off, nodding to Venompaw as she went to aid Thornstar and Foxtail; the leader and deputy. He felt a weird tingling in his pelt at her simple yet generous gesture. Then, his evil kicked in again as Jaggedstar's anger grew, and he sank a killing bite into the enemies neck.
The tabby screeched in immense pain, catching the attention of all the cats in the clearing, who froze in their battling, breaking apart to locate the source of the sound. Venompaw didn't even flinch at their hard gazes, nor at the sound of his leaders voice, which spoke from behind.
"Venompaw, what have you done? Do you know that killing is against the warrior code?"
Venompaw didn't care, and he showed no interest in the fact he was being reprimanded in front of both DawnClan and EmberClan. He just flicked his scarlet gaze from cat to cat, his eyes blazing.
Shadowpaw's eyes were alight with rage too, but not at Venompaw, but at her leader. "Thornstar," she meowed fiercely, her eyes glowing with an icy fire. "He saved my life; I would be dead by now if he hadn't saved me!"
Thornstar turned his amber gaze on his apprentice and hissed. "Is that any way to speak to your leader?"
"I don't care, anyways," hissed Venompaw cruelly. "I don't need the help of a simple she-cat!"
He stalked away, leaving Shadowpaw's ice blue eyes full of hurt and anguish.
