Why does it feel like night today?
Something in here's not right today
Why am I so uptight today?

The silver she-cat closed her eyes for the last time. Crowpaw gasped.
“No!” he croaked. But Feathertail was dead. She wasn’t coming back. And then Crowpaw had a strange feeling. A horrible suffocating feeling in his head. The world was against him. He was alone and unloved. Choking blackness enveloped the young grey apprentice, and he knew no more.

Paranoia's all I got left
I don't know what stressed me first
Or how the pressure was fed
But I know just what it feels like
To have a voice in the back of my head
Like a face that I hold inside
A face that awakes when I close my eyes
A face that I watch every time I lie
A face that laughs every time I fall
(And watches everything)

The newly named Crowfeather closed his eyes, hearing the congratulating meows wash over him. There was an image in his mind, clear as the sparkling water of the waterfall that rushed over the cliff outside the cave. A silver she-cat, with beautiful azure eyes, smiling, waiting for him in StarClan.
And then the awful sense of loss hit him. She was gone. Never coming back. He would only see her again when he...he...died.

So I know that when it's time to sink or swim
That the face inside is hearing me
Right beneath my skin

It's like I'm paranoid lookin' over my back
It's like a whirlwind inside of my head
It's like I can't stop what I'm hearing within
It's like the face inside is right beneath my skin

One look into those amber eyes, and Crowfeather was in love again. He lay by the she-cat’s side, their tails entwined, and their fur brushing together. Tabby and grey.

I know I've got a face in me
Points out all my mistakes to me
You've got a face on the inside too
Your paranoia's probably worse
I don't know what set me off first
But I know what I can't stand
Everybody acts like the fact of the matter is
I can't add up to what you can but

Medicine cats could not take a mate. Crowfeather knew, but he ignored it. But Leafpool couldn’t. After the badger attack, she had to stay to protect her Clan, to be with those who loved her.

But Crowfeather loved her.
And he couldn’t bear to be without her.

Everybody has a face that they hold inside

Leafpool. The tabby she-cat was his life, his soul, his reason for living. So if he could not be with her, was life worth anything at all?

Crowfeather stood by the lake, watching the sun sink beneath the hills. It reflected in the water, turning it deep red.

It was dark now.
Taking a deep breath, the young tom slowly moved forward into the icy black water.

If he couldn’t be with his love on earth, then he would join her in StarClan. He would wait for Leafpool, of course. But he would always love them both, with all his heart.

Taking one look back at his home, Crowfeather turned and disappeared into the lake. He would never come back. StarClan would welcome him. Feathertail would be waiting.

Oh I love this sooooooooo much! =P it's... so SAD! *tear drop* i can just imagine poor Crowfeather... all alone, sad, walking into the lake... aw you chose a great plot! sad love like that are awesome, and lots of ppl (including me!) love to read em! ^^

Readability: 10/10
It was really easy to follow, and it was obvious where was parts of the song and where the real story was. the song seemed to fit well with the story, and i liked the way u intwined them together. =3

Mechanics: 10/10
I don't think i found any spelling errors... XP good job! i'm not good at grammar or english at all, but i can see that urs is perfectly fine.

Originality: 8/10
Hm, i liked the plot but, since it's part of the book, it isn't that original. it's hard to be original since a LOT of ppl love to write about the books, and such a large situation like this means a mob all writing about it! X.x" i liked how parts of the story flashes to the future (VERY cool), and how Crowfeather went to join StarClan.

Yes, i LOVED how u described how Crowfeather felt! i've always thought he was an evil 2-timer (hah still kinda) but ur point of view for him was just so sad and sweet! ^^ although Leafpool wasn't described, i think it's perfectly fine cause the main charrie is Crowfeather.

the BEST description in this story was the part about the sunset and the night! the lyrics of the song TOTALLY worked with what was happening! it's great cause i was able to image just how it was like for him, and his surroundings and his feelings.

Continuity: 10/10
