Leafpool walked towards the lake and scented her familiar, starry scent.
"Spottedleaf? Is that you?" Leafpool asked, though she knew who it was. She had had this meeting in her dreams countless times, and knew Spottedleaf very well be now.
"Yes, Leafpool," the beautiful tortoiseshell answered. "You know why I'm here. You want StarClan's answer."
"I don't know what to do! I love Crowfeather deeply, but how can I leave ThunderClan? I have a life here. I have friends, and Squirrelflight. I have Cinderpelt!" Leafpool wailed in despair.
"Calm down," Spottedleaf soothed in understanding. "I know what it's like to be tied between my love and my Clan."
"How can I calm down," Leafpool cried, "when I don't know what to do?!"
"StarClan has a message," Spottedleaf meowed, ignoring the medicine cat's complaints.
"NOW you tell me," Leafpool moaned. She was so confused that she was arguing with Spottedleaf, ThunderClan's best ever medicine cat!
"Listen to your heart," Spottedleaf meowed, once again ignoring her friend's exclamation.
"What does that mean? My heart belongs to both Crowfeather and ThunderClan!" The frustrated tabby meowed.
"Listen to your heart," repeated Spottedleaf. "You know who you long for."
The StarClan cat's figure slowly began to fade, though the words were still repeating themselves.
"No! Spottedleaf, come back! I don't understand!" Leafpool cried frantically.
Spottedleaf soon had dissapeared, and the words were quieting now. Then, finally:
They were whispered one last time.
Leafpool's eyes popped open to see the medicine cat's den, and Cinderpelt was curled up beside her; still asleep. She smelled the bitter scent of herbs. But none of that mattered as she stood up, about to stretch.
Leafpool had made her decision.

I know there's something in the wake of your smile
I get a notion from the look in your eyes, yeah
You've built a love, but that love falls apart
Your little peice of Heaven turns too dark

Listen to your heart when he's calling for you
Listen to your heart when there's nothing else you can do
I don't know where you're going and I don't know why
But listen to your heart before you tell him goodbye
Listen to your heart when there's nothing else you can do
I don't know where you're going and I don't know why

Sometimes you wonder if this fight is worthwhile
The precious moments are lost in the tide, yeah
They're swept away and nothing is what it seems
The feel of belonging to your dreams

And there are voices that want to be heard
So much to mention but you can't find the words
The scent of magic, the beauty thats been
When love was wilder than the wind
