Chapter 1.
"The New Deputy Is Graystripe" Bramblestar announced. The clan chanted, but with no enthusiasm. The whole clan was still in grieving for Firestar. Graystripe wasn't suprised, the tabby leader was probably sill in guilt at taking Graystripes place. As the cats departed, Bramblestar came down to Graystripe "You should be up there, not me" he mewed, and walked into his den. Graystripe said nothing, but went to stand by his old friend. Firestars body had not yet been buried, many cats were still in denial. Rain fell, as it had done since the day he died. Graystripe whispered into the leaders unhearing ears, and walked away, leaving Sandstorm, who had layed next to Firestar since he died, not moving, not eating, not speaking. She was pining, in denial, smothered by her grief. She just wanted to waste away next to him before she could join her beloved in StarClan. The clan just accepted it, it looked like they would do the same if they could. Firestars death had brought such a impact down on the clan. Days passed slowly, so slowly. Sandstorm got thinner and weaker, and the clan spiarelled further into sorrow. The full moon glowed coldly in the sky, as Bramblestar lead his clan to the Gathering. Ripples of shocked murmurs arose when the ThunderClan cats came in, bedraggled, wet, and unkempt. And then silence, when no bright ginger tom was seen among them. Bramblestar leapt onto the stump. "Firestar is dead" was all he said, face lowered to the ground. Life could never be the same again.

No cat spoke. No words could possibly be spoke, no cat could find the right ones. "We must go on" Bramblestar broke the silence, but there was no meaning behind his words. News was passed that gathering slowly and with caution and hesitation. It seemed wrong. When Brambleclaw returned, Leafpools eyes were sad and tired. "Bramblestar, Sandstorm wont live to see the next sundown. She is to frail, and she will not let me help her." Leafpools words betrayed her voice, he knew she wasn't ready to lose her mother, after Firestar. Bramblestar opened his mouth to speak when a limp, dark ginger body was brought into camp by Brightheart, Thornclaw, Whitewing and Rainwhisker. "She just collapsed as we were heading over to the WindClan border to patrol. We brought her here as fast as we could but..." Rainwhisker broke away, as Leafpool rushed over. "Sister! No..No.." But as soon as Leafpool got to her sister, she broke down in tears. Blood matted Squirrelflights pelt, still trickling from her mouth, but there was no heartbeat. She was gone. "Squirrelflight!" Bramblestar followed Leafpool, "She can't be....." Leafpool said nothing, as Hollypaw, Jaypaw and Lionpaw ran over. "Mother!" The whole clan gathered to grieve another lost. Who would be next... (Sorry, more next chappie)

Dare's got a point. She said extreme character death - that fits the description perfectly. If this was the real Warriors, I wouldn't approve of the rapid deaths eaither- but it's fanfiction, so I'm ok with it. Really sad, but I like it ^^ Poor Sandstorm... =(

Cinderninja did say character death. Ok, so now characters are dying. Deal with it, Dare already warned you.
