Chapter 14 - Love and Despair Robinwing felt anger and grief rise inside of her. Adrenaline pumped through her veins as she launched herself at the black tom, catching him by surprise. She raked her claws against his fur, biting his shoulder. Blood gushed from the wound, and the tom yowled in pain, looking her straight in the eye. Her blood ran cold. She felt paralyzed, every bone in her body turning to stone. The tom lashed out with his claws - A loud yowl was heard and Warscar barreled into the other tom, tearing out its throat. She heard the tom try to hiss in disgust, but all that came out was a hideous gurgling noise. He soon went limp, then dissolved into thin air. "Back to the Land of Darkness," Growled Warscar, flicking his tail. "Let's check on Oakleaf." Robinwing shook her head and padded over to her other friend. His brilliant blue eyes were glazed and unseeing as blood from a wound in his belly flowed like a river out of his body. "Oh, no, Oakleaf, no," Whispered Robinwing. She felt as if a blackthorn had pierced her heart. Warscar pressed his fur against hers. "He can't be dead," He murmured. "He just can't..." Oakleaf suddenly gasped, blinking. The blood stopped flowing, and his blue eyes were clear. Robinwing felt shaky with relief. "Oh, Oakleaf," She mewed, pressing her nose against his. "You gave me a fright." The brown tom purred in delight. "I love you, Robinwing," Oakleaf whispered. Robinwing's eyes grew wide and she nuzzled him even more vigorously, because she knew in her heart that she loved him too. But another tom stood behind them, rigid with shock and jealousy. Warscars lip curled, and he yowled, "She can't love you! She loves me!" -- Back at the BlazeClan camp -- Ashtail was sorting herbs, every once in a while checking on his patient, Oakleaf, who collapsed in the middle of camp at the last full moon. He had never woken up since. Sighing, the old gray tom padded up to Oakleaf, eyes narrowed with curiosity. "StarClan, let you be safe," He murmured. All of a sudden blood began to flow from Oakleaf's belly, neck, and shoulder. Ashtails eyes grew wide and he grabbed half his stock of cobwebs, pressing them into the wounds until the bleeding stopped. Carrotstar padded into his den, about to speak, before she spotted Oakleaf. Her eyes grew as wide as the full moon. "What in the name of StarClan have you done?" She screeched.

Authors Note: Sorry if I hadn't written in so long! I had tons of stuff to do, and I just started my other book Death's Calling and I have an idea for a different book coming out as soon as I finish this one, so I'm very busy. Anyway, if you want to find out what happens in the love triangle, your going to have to wait, because it's time for Thymewhiskers point of view. Chapter 15 - Decision Thymewhisker was sitting in his den when it happened. A terrible screech, and the roar of battle began, followed by frantic herb sorting and covering the entrance of the den with brambles. "Okay, Thymewhisker," Meowed Glitterfoot, "What cures shock? You should know this." He sighed and meowed, "Thyme." "Very good!" Glitterfoot praised. "Let's use some on Sandflurry, shall we?" The ginger tom had just stumbled into the den, eyes wide with pain and confusion. Blood pooled out of a large wound in his head and in his belly. "Great StarClan, are you sure those are cats out there?" Exclaimed Glitterfoot. "You would think we were getting attacked by bears." Thymewhisker shoved the thyme towards Sandflurry, who nibbled at the edge of it. The medicine cat apprentice chomped up some burdock root and smeared it on Sandflurry's wounds, who winced and shrunk away. "Oh, sit still!" Snapped Thymewhisker. Glitterfoot shot a concerned glance at her apprentice. He never acted this way before, so why now, in the midst of this battle? The only answer to that question was Twilightsong. He was worried for her, and wished he could be fighting along side her. But he knew that he was too skittish to fight... That's it, he thought, I can't be a warrior. Herbs are all I know.A warrior burst through the den wall, teeth bared and snarling. He leaped onto Glitterfoot, tearing out her throat with vicious claws. "No!" Thymewhisker cried, pouncing on the warrior. He fought until the rogue screeched and rushed out of camp, still squealing like a kit. "No, no, Glitterfoot, no," Thymewhisker begged. "Don't leave me!" But it was too late. Glitterfoot was dead.
