Bloodlust eyes gleamed in the shadows, waiting impatiently. Clouds were forming in the sky, and a gust of wind buffeted the trees. The grass flattened, making way for the wind that blew furiously towards the cats. A large tom stepped forward from out of the trees. His black coat gleamed silver in the moonlight, orange eyes filled with hate and disgust. Flicking his tail as if in a signal, the dark cats flooded into the WildClan camp. Yowls erupted from the hollow as a battle formed. The dark cats ripped at the others' flesh, sneering insults. Many were already laying still on the ground. The black tom made his way through the crowd until he stood in front of a dark tabby tom. The tabby tom's dark green eyes widened in hatred. "Badgerstar!" The tom snarled, leaping onto the black tom. "You will regret the day you attacked our camp!" The tabby hissed, digging his claws into Badgerstars' fur. "Oh, no, Pinestar," Badgerstar mewed snidely. "It is you who will regret denying us your territory!" Screeching furiously, Pinestar bit into the other leader's ear. Badgerstar let out a yowl of pain and threw him off his back, whirling around to face Pinestar. He clawed at Pinestars side, and the other tom squealed in pain. Showing no mercy, Badgerstar grasped the tom with his long claws and teeth and threw him halfway across camp and into a tree. Pinestar hit it with a loud 'hhuff'. Mad with rage and bloodlust, Badgerstar began to slash his way over to the leader that lay still on the forest floor... *** Glitterfoot was concealed by the yew bush beside her den, blue eyes shining worriedly through the branches and her once-beautiful fur splattered with blood and gore. Wincing as a speck of blood hit her face, she looked to the sky instinctively, yowling, "StarClan, help us!" The silver-gray she-cat gasped suddenly and fell back onto a sharp branch, shutting her eyes tight trying to banish the strange scene from her mind, with the blood roaring in her ears and the sounds of battle seemed to be miles and miles away, and as a prophecy whispered in her ears, she knew that something dreadful was to happen, and that all she could do was wait... Three stones, one of Shadow, one of Fire, and one of the Forest itself will save the Clans from destruction....

Authors Notes: Hello again! This is the first chapter to The Three Stones, and I hope you enjoy it. Um, yeah, so, bye! Chapter 1 - The Forest Stone Robinwing yawned, stretching her jaw until it trembled. She had a long night - with the DarkClan attack, everything seemed to go downhill for WildClan. Pinestar was gravely injured by Badgerstar - that tom was much too bloodlust for his own good. She stood, picking her way over to the entrance, ignoring the grumbles and complaints of the other warriors as she stepped over them. Once stepping into the sunlight, she tasted the air. Not many warriors were up at this time of day - the sun was just rising, and the birds have just started to sing. This was her favorite part of the day - watching the sunrise was just beautiful. She began to wash the moss off her fur, looking around camp as warriors and queens woke. Strongfoot padded into camp with a large pile of prey, and she purred a greeting. He nodded to her, set the prey down in the fresh-kill pile, and padded over to her. "Wonderful day, isn't it?" He murmured, flicking his tail in the direction of the rising sun. "Yes," She mewed. "I love to watch the sunrise." A cool breeze rustled through her shiny gray fur. Strongfoot was about to reply when Lightspirit plopped down beside them, fur messy from tossing around in her sleep. Robinwing grimaced, remembering the many times she had been waken from Lightspirit's restlessness. "Lightspirit!" Strongfoot exclaimed. "Tough night, huh?" Lightspirit nodded. "Yes, I keep worrying about Pinestar.." She trailed off, and sighed. Pinestar was Lightspirit's father - or, so he claimed. Lightspirit was brought into the Clan as a tiny kit - no one knew her parents. Strongfoot pressed his nose into her fur and murmured, "We are all worried." Robinwing said a farewell to her two friends and padded towards Glitterfoots den. Once she reached the entrance, Thymepaw burst out, dark green eyes wild. "Robinwing!" He blustered. "I'm sorry, I-" Robinwing flicked her tail over his mouth in amusement. "It's quite alright," She mewed, stepping out of the way of the apprentice as he rushed off out of camp. Shaking her head, the she-cat stepped inside the medicine cats den. It was a warm, open cave, with a hole in a roof small enough to let barely any rainwater in and large enough for a cat to look up and see the stars. Stepping over the puddle that had formed in the center of the den entrance, she called softly, "Glitterfoot?" A heartbeat later Glitterfoot emerged from Pinestars nest. Her eyes were clouded with worry and sorrow, and her wonderful silver-tabby fur was matted and clumped. "Oh, Glitterfoot!" Robinwing exclaimed. "Are you never going to leave Pinestars side? Your going to starve-" But Glitterfoot shook her head. "Robinwing, Pinestar is dieing. Any minute now..." Her voice choked with sorrow. Robinwings eyes widened in surprise and grief. "Dieing?" She whispered. Glitterfoot nodded and mewed, "He wants to talk to Iceshadow. Will you fetch him for me?" Robinwing nodded and slipped out of the den, looking around for Iceshadow. She spotted him sitting near the warriors den, giving orders for patrols. "Strongfoot, would you lead a patrol along the DarkClan border? I don't trust them at the moment," He was meowing. Strongfoot nodded and took Lightspirit and Cheetahspeed, along with his apprentice, Pridepaw. "Sorrelreed, please take out a hunting patrol, we are running out of fresh-kill-" Robinwing padded up to him, eyes clouded with grief. Iceshadow took one look at her and meowed, "Robinwing? What's wrong?" "It's Pinestar. He wants to see you." Iceshadow frowned, but let Robinwing lead him to the medicine cats den. Pointing to her leader's nest with her tail, she began to pad away, but then she heard a voice meow hoarsely, "No! I must speak with her. Bring her in!" Iceshadow raced out of the nest and caught Robinwing hesitating by the entrance of the den. "Pinestar wants to see you, too," He meowed. She followed her deputy to where Pinestar was sleeping. Her leader looked up at her and meowed, "Robinwing! Come and lay down in front of me." She obeyed, and Pinestar leaned in. The massive scratch on his forehead smelled of many herbs. "StarClan have told me of a prophecy," He whispered so quietly only she could hear. "Do not share this with anyone but Glitterfoot and the Chosen Ones. No one else must know!" He took a deep breath and began to speak: "Three stones, one of Fire, one of Shadow, and one of the Forest itself will save the Clans from destruction." Robinwing was surprised. Why was her dieing leader sharing this with her, a young warrior? "Now," Mewed Pinestar. "Remember those words. Remember, please, Robinwing, remember those words... we must hurry! Bring in Iceshadow!" Robinwing obeyed, mystified, and brought Iceshadow into the den. Pinestar spoke once more: "Iceshadow, you have been a dedicated and wonderful deputy, and I hope that you will make WildClan strong while I am gone.." He coughed. "I wish to give you my blessing, and know that you will be the great Icestar of WildClan. Please take my blessing." Iceshadow bowed his head and meowed, "I accept your blessing, Pinestar. I wish you luck in StarClan." Pinestar touched noses with Iceshadow, Glitterfoot, and finally Robinwing. Before he layed down his head to die, he whispered in her ear, "Please, Robinwing, do not forget the prophecy... you must... tell the others. Warscar.. Warscar of DarkClan, and... and Oakleaf of BlazeClan. I bid you farewell, and good luck on your journey." Robinwing was shocked. "What journey?" She whispered, looking into his burning eyes. "What are you talking about?" But it was too late. Pinestar, leader of WildClan, was already dead.

Chapter 2 - The Fire Stone Robinwing watched as her leader was taken away by the elders, sorrow blossoming in her heart. It had been a few hours after Pinestars death, and once the Clan heard, all seemed lost. Strongfoot padded up to her, grief clouding his gaze. "Lightspirit is not well," He murmured. "She is terribly heartbroken by Pinestar's death - I'm afraid she'll go mad." Robinwing winced and meowed, "Perhaps she wont. I got over my parents' death all the later." Strongfoot nodded, but then muttered, "Yes, but it took you about a moon to do so." Robinwing sighed, murmuring agreement and farewell. Once Strongfoot was gone, Iceshadow padded up to her. "Robinwing, will you get the apprentices and Cheetahspeed? They must travel to the Moonflower as well." Robinwing nodded and rushed to the apprentices den. "All of you get up! It's time you traveled to the Moonflower." The apprentices sprang up from their nests, excitement gleaming in their eyes. Pridepaw, Rushingpaw, and Twilightpaw all murmured to each other as they made their way towards Iceshadow. After watching them go, she stuck her head in the warriors den and hissed, "Cheetahspeed! Time for your journey to the Moonflower." Cheetahspeed groaned, sitting up in his nest, then jumped to his paws. "I'm ready," He meowed, springing out of the den and over to his deputy quick as a mouse. Shaking her head, Robinwing slipped into the warriors den. She seemed too depressed to go hunting or patrolling, and just wanted to curl up in her nest for an afternoon nap. Once she was comfortable, she felt warmth spread through her, and she closed her eyes and fell into a sort of trance, not asleep yet not awake... Robinwing was in BlazeClan territory. She smelled the cool oak trees that grew in this part of the territory, and she breathed it in, relishing in the cool, fresh scent. Pinestar stood in front of her, stars shimmering in his dark tabby pelt. His tail flicked, as if to beckon her, and he raced into the forest. Robinwing followed him, finding herself faster than the wind, feeling that she could go on forever if she wanted. The large tom didn't stop when he came to the BlazeClan camp, and propelled himself into the clearing. Sparrowfeather, who was guarding the camp, didn't notice when they raced into camp. Their paws took them into the warriors den, where they searched through the sleeping cats before they came upon Oakleaf, a dark brown tom.Robinwing looked at her former leader questioningly, but the dead tom said nothing, only brushing his muzzle against Oakleafs' fur. The brown tom looked up from where he was sleeping and his eyes widened. He opened his mouth to speak, but Pinestar slapped his tail across Oakfurs mouth. "You two must meet at Threestreams at dawn. Please do not forget this information, for it is very important. Come with me, Robinwing - you must return to camp." He dashed out of the camp, with Robinwing in full pursuit. They reached camp, and once she returned to her nest, she woke, feeling as if she hadn't slept at all.It was dawn. The sun was rising as Robinwing reached Threestreams, eyes looking around warily. Pinestar had came to her in a dream! She shivered in awe. So Pinestar wasn't gone forever. A rustle was heard on the BlazeClan side of the clearing, and Oakleafs' head popped out of a bush. Robinwing blinked, then nodded to him as he approached. "So you dreamed of Pinestar, too?" She nodded again, and replied, "Do you have any ideas on what that was all about?" The tom shook his head. "I only know that he is now with StarClan - I'm sorry. " Robinwing shrugged. "He isn't gone forever," She pointed out. "And I might have an answer to all this." Oakleafs ears pricked as she told him about the prophecy. Once she finished, he meowed, "So we have to go find Warscar?" The tom shivered. "How do you think we'll manage that?" Robinwing shook her head. "I don't know," She meowed. "We must find a way." They said their farewells and made another plan to meet tomorrow, same time, same place. As she raced back to camp, she thought of the mysterious prophecy that Pinestar had recited for her. She grimaced, and wondered, Oh, StarClan, why does it have to be me?"Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join beneath the Tallboulder for a Clan meeting!" Icestar yowled at moonhigh. Robinwing trotted out of the warriors den, fully rested. She plopped down in front of the Tallboulder, lost in thought until Icestar began his announcement. "The time has come to appoint a new deputy." Cats waited in silence. "I say these words in honor of Pinestar, who may see and approve of my choice." He paused again. "Robinwing will be the new deputy of WildClan." Robinwing froze. Every hair on her pelt stood on end. She never knew he was going to choose her as deputy! Cats pressed all around her, congratulating her and calling out her name. As soon as the cats left, Robinwing blinked and ran into the forest.

Chapter 3 - The Shadow Stone It was dawn yet again. The sun was just showing on the horizon, creating different shades of orange and blue. Robinwing padded through her territory, lost in thought. How would they get Warscar to believe Oakleaf and herself? Both of the warriors knew that Warscar was a stubborn and terrifyingly strong warrior - he could beat them into the ground. She had to admit, the warrior was quite handsome, maybe if they were in the same Clan.... she shook her head, sighing and continuing on her way to Threestreams. Oakleaf was already waiting for her, looking around anxiously with his light blue eyes. Once he spotted her across the stream, his eyes cleared and met her at the border. Once they stood in front of each other, Robinwing meowed, "How do you think we should get Warscar to come with us on this, 'journey'?" Oakleaf shrugged. "Should we try and find him?" He asked, eyes questioning. Robinwing shook her head. "No," She meowed, "Especially not with me. DarkClan has a grudge against WildClan at the moment." Oakleaf sighed, flicking his ears in annoyance. "Well, of course," He snorted. "I wouldn't let you go into enemy territory - alone. I know a cat in my Clan - Pantherclaw - that is a good friend of Warscar's. They always chat at gatherings. If we could get Pantherclaw to convince Warscar to talk to us, we might have a chance on figuring this out." Robinwing could see that the two tomcats had a lot in common, especially their massive sizes. Pondering this for a moment, she mewed, "Well, the next gathering is tomorrow night. Why not?" Oakleaf nodded, then waved his tail in farewell as she murmured a 'good-bye' and headed back to camp. On her way there, she heard a crashing in the bushes behind her, and before she could spin around to face who was pursuing her, they crashed into her, knocking her off her paws. She yowled in surprise and writhed on the ground. "Shh!" A voice hissed. "Don't make any loud noises. I need to talk to you." The cat let her go, and she stumbled to her feet, hissing and arching her back. To her surprise, it was Warscar of DarkClan. She blinked and opened her mouth to ask him what he was doing here, but he brushed his tail against her mouth. "Shh," He repeated. "Now, listen. I dreamed of Pinestar, and he asked me to talk to you when dawn came at Threestreams. So, I went, and you were already gone. Oakleaf was also heading towards his territory, and since Pinestar spoke to me, I decided that it was you I needed to talk to." He lowered his tail and asked, "Now, tell me. What's this all about?" Robinwing took a deep breath and explained everything. Afterwards, she meowed, "So me and Oakleaf were planning to get Pantherclaw to talk to you at the gathering and see if you would come and talk to us. I beg you to please understand that this is important." Warscar narrowed his eyes, and Robinwing felt hope rising in her chest. Would he accept her offer? "Alright," He meowed. "I will meet you at the gathering tomorrow, but only if you promise you aren't lying." Robinwing leaned in closer, looking him straight in the eye. She could see every speckle, every line.... "I promise," She meowed icily, pausing to glare intensely at him before running off to her own Clan.

Chapter 4 - The Gathering Robinwing ran with her Clan to Threestreams. Every hair on her pelt tingled as if sparked with electricity. Her green eyes shone in the dark as WildClan passed by BlazeClan territory. The cats running on the other side of the border nodded to the WildClan cats, then looked away as they reached Threestreams. DarkClan was already waiting, with Rippedmask and Badgerstar, the deputy and leader, sitting near the Great Tree. Robinwing saw Oakleaf approach, mewing a greeting. Together they slipped behind the Great Tree. "Oakleaf, guess what?" She mewed. "Warscar talked to me yesterday in my own territory. He agreed to meet us here." Oakleaf's tail flicked in excitement. "Great! But where is he?" Robinwing shrugged, and they sat, waiting, until a voice behind them meowed, "So this isn't a trick?" The two cats jumped and turned to face Warscar. He loomed over them, amber eyes showing no expression as most DarkClan cats usually do. "No," Meowed Oakleaf. "But we need to figure this out - what are these, 'stones', and how do they save the forest?" Robinwing shrugged. "Who knows? Perhaps they lay beyond the Clan territories." Warscar thought about it. "Or maybe they are very close by, and we don't know about it?" Oakleaf blinked, and murmured, "Maybe... maybe.." Robinwing nodded. "They may be right next to us and we might not know it!" The three cats sighed in frustration, until Warscar meowed, "We shall meet back here at dawn, yes?" Oakleaf and Robinwing agreed and they returned to their own Clans, lost in thought until they were snapped out of their daydreaming when Carrotstar called all the cats to gather. She began to speak about how BlazeClan was thriving, and how a new litter of kits were born, then passed it on to Icestar. "Pinestar is dead," He meowed. Cats murmured in surprise and sorrow. "How was he killed?" One cat from BlazeClan yowled. Icestar ignored this and meowed, "Since then I have taken his place. The new deputy is Robinwing." There was silence in the clearing, and Robinwing felt all of the cats eyes on her. She suddenly felt hot under her pelt and licked her chest fur uneasily. Feeling Oakleaf's and Warscars eyes on her, she turned to look at them. Oakleafs eyes said, Why didn't you tell me? and Warscars eyes held no expression. It was Badgerstar who saved her from her embarrassment. "DarkClan is sorry your leader is gone," He meowed, and Robinwing thought furiously, No you aren't! You killed him! Badgerstar continued on on how there was a new litter and how he had scented a fox in their territory, but it was no big deal. After the gathering, Icestar murmured to her, "Badgerstar is a liar and a traitor. We cannot trust him - set out extra patrols from now on, Robinwing." She just nodded and followed her leader back to camp, worrying about Warscar.

Authors Note: Hi people! I hope you enjoy The Three Stones so far - if you do, kindly leave a message. Thanks, and here is Chapter 5!
Chapter 5 - The Journey Begins
Robinwing felt a bit faint as she arrived at camp. Her head pounded, stomach lurched, and she kept stumbling over her own paws. The she-cat was not aware of what was going on, only just able to reach the medicine cats den.
Once Glitterfoot took sight of her, the silver-gray she-cat nudged her into a nest, placing her paw on Robinwings forehead. "Your burning up!" She gasped, grabbing a white flower with a bright yellow center. "Here, eat this," She mewed promptly. "It's feverfew." Robinwing obediently licked it up, screwing up her face at the harsh taste. Once she was done, she laid down her head to rest, suddenly feeling so, so cold...
She woke up in Threestreams. Stars glittered in her eyes and fur, making her look like rippling water every time she moved. The she-cat had no idea what was going on, or why she was here. It wasn't until Pinestar spoke behind her.
"This is the beginning of your journey, Robinwing." She gasped and spun 'round to face him. The tabby looked young and well, not a scratch or scar laid on him. "The others should be here soon." Robinwing tilted her head to the side. The others? Does he mean...
Warscar and Oakleaf suddenly appeared, the clouded looks on their faces giving way to shock as they spotted Pinestar and Robinwing across the clearing. They rushed over as Warscar meowed, "What's happening?" Pinestar was kind enough to answer that question for all of them.
"The Three Stones represent the three Clans - BlazeClan as the Fire Stone, DarkClan as the Shadow Stone, and WildClan as the Forest Stone. Each one has a unique power, controlling the cats' deaths in the Clan they represent and the element in which they stand for. The Fire Stone controls fire, the Shadow Stone controls the shadows, and the Forest Stone controls all plants and prey. They are all equally powerful, and can only be controlled by The Chosen Ones - one cat from BlazeClan, which is Oakfur, one from DarkClan, which is Warscar, and one from WildClan, which is Robinwing.
"The Three Stones have clues that eventually guide you to them. They will be found on your journey, and when you return to this very spot, say the words that whisper to you, and your Clans will have peace. We will not be here to guide you, for this is out of our paws and our skies. We must watch over your territories while you are gone."
Warscar stepped forward. "What exactly are we?" He asked. "I mean, what are our bodies like while we are here?" Pinestar turned towards the tom and mewed, "They are in a...... trance. Half out of your body and half in. We can keep you like this for about a moon, and so you must hurry." The three cats nodded, nervousness fresh in their gazes. "Well then, it's settled. The three clues are hard to interpret, but here goes:
Travel to where the sunset ends Seek the cave with Twolegs knowledge Find the wall with stars encrusted And you will find the Stones of StarClan.
"Got it?" Pinestar meowed. The three cats nodded, and the former leader meowed, "Then you must go. Hurry, Chosen Ones, for all of the Clans' fate is in your paws for now..." The leader faded into a shimmer of stars, and Oakleaf, Warscar, and Robinwing shared a worried glance before heading into the dark forest.

Chapter 6 - Thymepaw's Sign "Glitterfoot!" He panted, skidding to a halt. Thymepaw rushed into the den with feverfew, coltsfoot, and thyme leaves, the herb in which he was named after. Setting them down beside his mentor, he twitched his tail anxiously. The tom was worried for the new deputy, Robinwing - he was always worried. Yet his mind was elsewhere, in a small cave, shimmering with stars and a crashing roar in the dis- "Thymepaw!" Snapped Glitterfoot. "Stop daydreaming and help me out here." Thymepaw leaped to his feet and monitored Robinwings breathing. She looked as if she was sleeping, and yet she spoke as if she was not dreaming at all. She kept saying names like 'Oakleaf' and 'Warscar' and, one extremely surprising, 'Pinestar'. Was the she-cat dreaming with StarClan? But the other warriors she had mentioned weren't with StarClan at all... Thymepaw ducked his head and mewed, "Do you want me for anything else, Glitterfoot?" The medicine cat shook her head and mewed, "No. Leave me be. We must figure out why Robinwing is in this state." Thymepaw nodded, rushing out of the den, suddenly feeling very sleepy. Too tired to go back to his nest, he curled up near the entrance of camp and fell asleep. Thymepaw felt himself running through a strange forest, paws flying even faster than he could back in WildClan. His dark tabby pelt shimmered and rippled as his muscles flexed and contracted. The small tom suddenly felt his paws sink into the ground, and he looked down to find that he was stepping in sand. He raced forward, less easily this time, but with the same determination and calm state that he obtained when healing a patient in great need. Finally, his search was over. The sun was sinking below a massive body of water, even larger than the Silver Pond. It was dark and ominous, it's water rising and then finally crashing down at it's peak. He began to head towards a strange granite cave, one he had never seen before but for some reason he recognized it. Thymepaw slipped into the den, seeing with his sharp eyes strange, colorful markings all around the cave, and in the distance a glimpse of a wall made of stars-"Thymepaw?" Icestars voice meowed from in front of him. The great black tom stared down at him with a worried expression on his face. It was about sunhigh. "Are you okay?" The smaller tom scrambled to his feet and nodded furiously. "Yup," He panted. "Never better." The leader nodded, cast one more concerned glance down at Thymepaw, and padded towards his own den. Thymepaw sighed in relief, falling on his haunches. He closed his eyes, trying to remember the dream, but it had already disappeared.

Chapter 7 - The Forests End Robinwing ran along with her two friends through the dark forest. Her pelt still shimmered with stars like diamond ripples on water. The she-cat suddenly stopped, flicking her tail. A mouse nibbled on a seed in front of her. "There's prey in StarClan?" She muttered to Oakleaf and Warscar. But, alas, she was hungry, and she dropped into a hunters crouch. The she-cat stalked with precise movement, eyes staring intently on her prey until she pounced, killing it with a swift bite. "Great catch!" Exclaimed Oakleaf, blue eyes shining as he eyed the plump mouse. Warscar said nothing, but merely grunted and headed farther into the forest to catch his own prey. "Not a very talkative one, is he?" Muttered Oakleaf. Robinwing's whiskers twitched and she pushed her mouse towards him. "Share?" She asked. The tom nodded and they crouched down to eat the fresh-kill. It was more delicious that anything Robinwing had ever tasted. Warscar returned a bit later with a chaffich. "Your done already?" He asked, dropping the bird. "I haven't got a chance to eat yet." Robinwing narrowed her eyes and meowed, "We'll wait for you." The gray tom flicked his ears at her and tucked into his prey. The other two shared tongues absentmindedly. "How do you think we're going to get to that place?" Asked Oakleaf. "You know, 'Where the sunset ends'?" Robinwing shrugged and meowed between licks, "I don't know. Is it that difficult to find? And we don't seem to get very tired in StarClan's forest, so it won't really seem as long as it is in the other forest." Still," Meowed Warscar. "We should have at least found some other clue that leads us to that place." Oakleaf sighed in frustration and Robinwing sat up. "Maybe," She meowed slowly, "The place is beyond the forest we live in." The two toms gave her a questioning look. "Don't you see?" She meowed. "We have to travel far away to get to the place where the sunset ends and find the cave with Twolegs knowledge. We can't find the stones in our leader's dens." Oakleaf nodded in agreement, but Warscar seemed unsure. "I don't want to go anywhere out of the forest," He meowed. "No matter if we are in StarClan or not." Robinwing gave him a look from narrowed eyes. "It may be the only way to find them," She meowed. "It may be taking a risk, but-" Suddenly they heard pawsteps in the bracken behind them. The three cats spun around, claws out. It was Thymepaw."Robinwing?" He blustered, eyes wide. "Are you-" Robinwing sprinted up to him and nuzzled him. "Thymepaw!" She purred, glad to see a familiar face besides Oakleafs and Warscars. "How are you? How's the Clan? Your not dead, are you? Of course not." She eyed the dull tabby pelt and realized that he must be dreaming. "The Clan is fine," He mewed slowly. "Um, are you dead?" "Tell him that I can't explain," She mewed. "I have to travel to the place where the sunset ends-" Thymepaws eyes suddenly grew wide with shock. "Where the sunset ends..." He whispered. The small tom jumped and meowed, "I can take you there! Well, halfway. Come, come with me-" He sprinted off excitedly. The three other cats looked at each other for a moment, bewildered, and began to pursue Thymepaw. When the apprentice finally stopped, they were at the edge of WildClan territory. "Go this way," He mewed, flicking his tail to the west. "You will have to travel through moorland and marshland as well. Once you pass the swamp, you will find yourself in a rather warm territory. Keep going that way until you step in sand, and you have reached the place where the sunset ends." He looked up at Robinwing. "I bid you farewell, and I kinda have to get back - Yowlvoice is complaining about aching joints." Thymepaws whiskers twitched in amusement and waved his tail in farewell, heading back into the forest. Robinwing looked to her companions and shrugged. "Well, that was convenient," She meowed. "Let's go." She began to head into the unknown with the two toms at her side, leaving her territory and everything she knew behind.

Chapter 8 - Loves' Curse Thymepaw woke with a gasp, pelt bristling and eyes wild. Glitterfoot was trying to pry open Robinwings mouth and get some herbs in there, but when Thymepaw woke up she rushed to his side. "Thymepaw? Thymepaw, what did you see?" Glitterfoot stared at the apprentice as he told her about Robinwing, Oakleaf, and Warscar. "They have gone... to where the sunset ends." Glitterfoot looked confused. He only shook his head and ran out of the den and into the forest. During his run, he thought about Twilightpaw. Their mothers were good friends, and they always used to play-fight outside of the nursery together. Well, not really. Thymepaw would be the medicine cat, finding fern leaves and tearing them into strips to make herbs. Pridepaw and Rushingpaw would be the enemy while Twilightpaw and an older warrior who agreed to play with them would be the Clan leader and deputy. As Thymepaw thought about this, he heard a crashing through the undergrowth towards him. A rabbit ran straight into him, and, yowling, he clawed at it. Soon, it went limp, and a cat came towards him. It was Twilightpaw! "Wow! Nice catch, Thymepaw," She meowed, eyes gleaming. "I couldn't catch a rabbit for anything!" Thymepaw shuffled his paws in his embarrassment, and nudged the rabbit towards her. "I have no use for it," He mumbled. Thanks!" She purred, studying him for a moment. "Your eyes have blue speckles. I never noticed that." The tom felt hot under his fur and he licked his chest fur to hide his embarrassment. Twilightpaw brushed her muzzle against his. "Thymepaw..." Suddenly a call was heard in the distance. "Twilightpaw! Where did you go? We should be getting back to camp." Twilightpaw sighed, glancing once more at Thymepaw, and murmuring, "Meet me at the White Willow at moonhigh." They touched noses briefly, and then she picked up the rabbit and left. Thymepaw felt his heart leap with joy- "What am I doing?" He hissed, furious at himself. "I am a medicine cat, and she..." He trailed off, shaking his head. It was unmistakable, this feeling, the glorious feeling, a curse to him and all medicine cats. The feeling of love.

Chapter 9 - The Moon Dynasty "Robinwing, are you sure this is the right way?" Asked Oakleaf anxiously, looking around at the moorland. "This doesn't look like the place where sunset ends." Robinwing sighed and turned to Oakleaf. "Thymepaw said that the sunset ended past the moorland, and past the marshland. We need to get to the sandy place." Oakleaf dipped his head, but still had a doubtful look spread across his features. Robinwing looked around. Everywhere was moorland - no trees, no undergrowth, only the greenest grass she had ever seen. She saw a flash of dark fur pass in the corner of her eye, and, thinking it was Oakleaf, she ignored it. But then when she saw a flash of bright ginger, she came to a halt, sniffing the air. "Whats wrong?" Asked Warscar, but she slapped her tail against his muzzle. A dark gray cat stood in front of her, green eyes glittering in welcome. His paws were bright ginger, and his face was all black. "Greetings," He meowed. "I am Storm of Moon of The Moon Dynasty." Robinwing gave him a quizzical look. He seemed familiar, even though she hadn't heard of him before... She noticed he was staring at her with pride. Unspoken questions lingered in his green gaze so much like her own... her own? The toms' mew interrupted her thoughts. "Why are you here on Moon Dynasty territory?" Robinwing shook her head and meowed, "We were chosen by StarClan to find The Three Stones." Storm blinked, then mewed, "Right, then I shall escort you out of the Dynasty territories - though it may take a few days." Warscar stepped up, muscles rippling. "How many days?" He growled, eyes flashing. Robinwing nudged him back with her tail, meowing, "What he means is, if we don't get the stones in under a moon, we will forever leave our bodies and join StarClan." Storm dipped his head, smirking a bit. "The trip is only three days long." He looked to the sky. "You have about six weeks before Moonfull." The Clan cats gave each other confused looks. This cat talked funny, and they didn't have any idea who he was. But, if he was walking the skies, he must be good, right? Robinwing nodded to the tom. "Lead the way," She meowed, flicking her tail. Storm nodded and sprinted off to the west. The other cats followed, failing to catch up. "Great StarClan, he's fast!" Oakleaf panted in her ear. They ran until they could run no more. Collapsing on the ground, Robinwing didn't even bother making a nest, snuggling beside her two friends. Warmth spread through her, and she felt as comfortable as a kit safe in the curve of her mother's belly. Slowly, she fell into a deep sleep, dreaming of frost-bitten stars and windy moors.

Chapter 10 - Found The moon shone brightly from the sky as Thymepaw headed towards the White Willow. Every instinct almost forced him to go back, but he knew that he couldn't quit on Twilightpaw. His heart pounded in his chest, dark green eyes wide with anxiety. Once he reached the tree, he looked around anxiously. No one was there yet, so Thymepaw settled down. "I was looking for you." A voice behind him made him jump. He whirled around, fur bristling. It was Twilightpaw, the reflection of the moon turning her pelt silver. She padded up to him. "Twilightpaw," He murmured, casting a glance over his shoulder. "We shouldn't be doing this, I'm a me-" She leaned in closer, and his voice faltered, mesmerized by her eyes... "Thymepaw, I love you more than anything. I want to keep it that way." Thymepaw shook his head, looking away. "You don't understand! We will anger StarClan. They can do terrible things to punish us, terrible things, Twilightpaw, horrifying things." He felt her eyes boring into his fur, and he was afraid to look up. "I don't care what StarClan thinks. I need you," She persisted, brushing her muzzle against his. Amazingly, the sky stayed clear, and the stars seemed to shine even brighter than usual. Was this a sign that Thymepaw was able to love Twilightpaw? He stared at the sky for a long time, then let out a sigh and twined her tail with his. "We cannot tell anyone," He warned her. "Not let anyone know." Twilightpaw purred happily and rubbed her cheek against his. Thymepaw pressed his fur into hers. They padded back to camp, going their separate ways as Thymepaw snuck in through a hole he had made near the medicine cats den. Twilightpaw had apparently taken a hole behind the leader's den, and as she slipped through, her tail got snagged in the brambles. She pulled frantically, and her tail finally untangled. Breathing out a sigh of relief, she took a piece of fresh-kill and watched the other apprentices get up. Icestar padded out of his den, eyes fixing immediately on Twilightpaw. He padded up to her, murmured something in her ear, and she jumped up excitedly, casting a glance at Pridepaw and Rushingpaw. After chattering to them excitedly, the three apprentices padded up to the highrock, awe glowing in their eyes. Thymepaw padded out of his den after his leader called them together. "I, Icestar, leader of WildClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices," He meowed, ice-blue eyes shining. "They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn." Thymepaw slumped his shoulders. He knew they would never be together - now that she was going to be caught up in her warrior duties, they wouldn't have time to spend together. "Pridepaw, Rushingpaw, and Twilightpaw, do you promise to protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?" Pridepaw meowed solemnly, "I do." Rushingpaw blinked and nodded impatiently, meowing, "I do." Twilightpaw shivered and mewed, "I do," as well - with much more feeling. "Then by the power of StarClan, I give you your warrior names. Pridepaw, from this moment you will be known as Prideheart. StarClan honors your loyalty and your strength, and we welcome you as a full warrior of WildClan." Icestar touched his nose to Prideheart's brow, and Prideheart licked his leader's shoulder. Icestar gave Rushingpaw the name of Rushingstream, and finally he came to Twilightpaw. "Twilightpaw, from this moment you will be known as Twilightsong. StarClan honors your loyalty and determination, and we welcome you as a full warrior of WildClan." He touched his nose to her brow and she licked his shoulder in respect. The Clan chanted, "Prideheart! Rushingstream! Twilightsong!" Thymepaw didn't do so as well. Sighing and shaking his head, he padded back to the medicine cats den, forgetting that happiness and comfort had finally been found.

Chapter 11 - Memories Robinwing was lost in thought. Her fur was still silky smooth, eyes glittering with stars. She was tired of this, and just wanted it all to be over. "Robinwing?" Asked a voice behind her. She turned, coming face-to-face with Oakleaf. He was so close she jumped. "I - I didn't mean to scare you," He muttered, shuffling his paws. Robinwing purred in amusement and asked, "What can I do for you, Oakleaf?" The she-cat saw fear, then determination flash in the toms eyes. He opened his mouth to say something, but sighed and meowed, "I thought you would be hungry." Robinwing didn't know what to make of this and meowed, "No, I'm not hungry at the moment Oakleaf. I'll come eat later, okay?" The tom nodded sheepishly and padded back to Warscar, who was waiting with his ears pricked eagerly. She shook her head, sighing, then turned around and licked a forepaw. Oakleaf had been trying to tell something to Robinwing for the past two days, and kept giving the same answers. If it were something important, he would tell me, She thought. She heard her name be mewed again, this time by Storm. The tom padded up to her and asked, "May I speak with you?" They padded away from the others, who were now bickering about something, and sat in a small dip in the ground. "Robinwing," Storm began, then faltered, green eyes warily studying hers. Robinwing tilted her head to the side. Storm cleared his throat and moved on. "Robinwing, did you ever notice that we look so much alike?" The she-cat blinked in surprise. She had noticed before - but she ignored it, telling herself it was mouse-brained... "A long, long time ago, back when I was a young warrior, my Dynasty was dieing of a sickness called Cough. I had to travel far away, as The Swamp Dynasty wouldn't share their herbs. We came across your Clans, and there I met your mother." His eyes glazed over with sadness. "Me and the others had to stay for a while, and it was not long until Topazstreak and I fell in love. When she announced we were to have kits, I knew this had gone much too far. I decided that I must stay in WildClan." He glared at his paws. "I did not stay long, just until you and you're brother were born." "Brother?" Robinwing blustered. "I have a brother?" The tom nodded, a wary look in his eye. "Yes, you have a brother," He murmured. "His name is Sky with Streaks. Looks exactly like your mother." The tom brightened at an untold memory. "Exactly like her too - independent and temperamental as ever." He chuckled. "Come, I will show you," He ordered, flicking his tail. Robinwing followed her father to a small camp where cats were sleeping. There were much more than in the Clan, oh, so much more! Storm picked his way through the cats until he reached a light ginger tom with light gray streaks. "This is Sun with Streaks," He murmured to Robinwing. "You're brother." Robinwing shook her head, leaning over. This was just too much... Suddenly the tom snapped his eyes open. His bright green eyes locked with hers. "Father?" He murmured, looking past her, then turning back. "Who-who're you?" Robinwing sighed, and stood up fully. "Only a lost memory," She murmured. Sun blinked in surprise as the two other cats left the camp and disappeared into the moor. He was disappointed. The she-cat who looked so much like his father could be related to the dreams he had for the longest of times, ever since he was a small kit. But maybe this was just another dream, just part of his memory, like the she-cat said. He found himself fully awake only a heartbeat after they had gone.

Chapter 12 - The Moonflower "It is time," Murmured Glitterfoot, blue eyes shining, to Thymepaw. "We must start our journey to the Moonflower." Thymepaw blinked his eyes open and yawned, revealing unstained teeth. Jumping out of his nest, he padded out of the medicine cats den, Glitterfoot leading the way. Icestar padded up to them, ice-blue eyes sparkling with worry. "Hurry back," He meowed. "If DarkClan dares attack us on a half-moon, we must be prepared." Glitterfoot purred and touched her nose to his. "Why would they attack us, silly brother?" She mewed. "Their medicine cat will be gone too." "I'm just taking precautions," He meowed, frowning. "You never know. May StarClan light your path." The two medicine cats murmured 'good-bye' as well and began to run towards the BlazeClan border. On their way there, they heard a yowl in back of them. It was Barkpelt, medicine cat of DarkClan. She was a very pretty brown-tabby she-cat, with beautiful green eyes and a shy voice that sounded of a cool summer breeze. "Hello," She panted. "Sorry I'm a bit late, Goredust thought he saw pixies again. I gave him poppy seeds to calm him down." Thymepaw's whiskers twitched in amusement, though shivers raked his spine. Goredust was a terrible name; he couldn't imagine a mother naming their kit 'gore'. Glitterfoot nodded in respect to Barkpelt, as the two medicine cats were always good friends. They entered BlazeClan territory, heading north to where the Moonflower grew. As they passed BlazeClan's camp, Ashtail came to join them. He was an old, gray tom, with shining amber eyes. It was surprising he hadn't picked an apprentice for himself yet. "Good evening Glitterfoot, Barkpelt, Thymepaw." The three other medicine cats dipped their heads in respect to the old tom. He had been medicine cat for longer than anyone but the elders could remember - if they remember anything right - and was well-known and loved among the Clans - especially the kits and apprentices. "Thymepaw, have I told you the story of when Softpelt was an apprentice and fought the badger?" Thymepaw shook his head and meowed, "Not quite yet, Ashtail." The older tom looked pleased. "Well, then, I guess I should." And so on their journey to the Mountain, Ashtail told the story of how young Softpaw fought the badger that had tried to get into the nursery. "She fought like a LionClan cat, and was badly injured afterwards, but if she didn't fight it off, Flyingheart, Pantherclaw, and Rivereyes wouldn't be here to protect us today!" He finished with a chuckle. "And what warriors they make." By the time he ended that sentence, they had reached the Mountain. "We must hurry," Murmured Barkpelt. "It is almost moonhigh." They padded around the mountain until they reached a small opening in the rock. One by one they slipped inside, staring at a small flower in the center. It was a small flower, protruding out of the ground. It still wasn't bloomed, and Thymepaw told himself to wait patiently until it- The flower was suddenly struck by moonlight, and it unfurled, a wonderful scent entering the medicine cats nostrils. It was the purest of white, sparkling and shining like a dozen stars. Glitterfoot padded up to it, and the other cats followed. "Before we enter our dreams, there is one thing we need to take care of," She meowed, turning to Thymepaw. "I, Glitterfoot, medicine cat of WildClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to learn the way of a medicine cat, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn." She turned to Thymepaw. "Thymepaw, do you promise to do your best in the ways of healing your Clan and others in need?" Thymepaw could hardly believe it. Delight shone on his face as he meowed, "I do." Glitterfoot looked at him encouragingly and meowed, "Then by the power of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. From this moment you will be known as Thymewhisker. StarClan honors your power in healing and soul, and we welcome you as a full medicine cat of WildClan." Ashtail and Barkpelt cheered, "Thymewhisker! Thymewhisker!" The tabby toms' eyes shone as he stepped up to the Moonflower and touched one of its petals. He shivered, it felt so cold and it's scent was so enticing . He closed his eyes, letting himself fall into a deep sleep... Thymewhisker opened his eyes. It was the greenleaf forest, back in WildClan territory. The tom looked around, knowing he should be searching for a sign from StarClan. "Good evening, Thymewhisker." A voice behind him made him jump. Thymewhisker turned around, only to see Pinestar. "Your love is dangerous," The tabby warned. "It is not allowed within the Clans - but there is one option."Thymewhisker felt hope rise in his chest. He was talking about Twilightsong! "What is the option?" He asked desperately. "I would give anything to be with her, anything.." He trailed off, staring hopelessly at Pinestar. At first he didn't respond, but then he meowed, "Would you be willing to give up your duties as medicine cat and become a warrior? Choose wisely, and come to us on the next half-moon with your answer. Be safe, Thymewhisker."Thymewhisker woke with a gasp, heart pounding in his chest. He gets to choose between Twilightsong or his duty as medicine cat? Glitterfoot would be so disappointed if he chose Twilightsong, but if he chose the role of medicine cat they would never be together. His mentor stood, stretching and glancing at him, nodding as the other medicine cats woke. As they went back to their own territories, Thymewhisker couldn't help wonder, What have I done?

Authors Note: Sorry I took so long to write another chapter, but I was trying to catch up with my homework and me and my friends like going sledding. o.o Well, here it is: Chapter 13! Chapter 13 - The Battle Begins "Robinwing!" Hissed Warscar. "Wake up!" The great tom prodded her with his forepaw. "Storm is leading us into the swamp territory. He said it will only take a day to cross, just as he had promised." Robinwing woke with a groan. After seeing her brother for the first time, she couldn't take her mind off the subject. Who was he? Did he know about her? Why didn't he come visit? When it dawned on her that Storm must have not told Sky about the Clans, she felt anger rise in her chest. Why is it that her father wanted to keep them separated? "Come, Robinwing!" Snapped Warscar, before turning and stalking away. Oakleaf shot a dirty look at Warscar. "He thinks he rules over us," The brown tom muttered, flicking his tail. Robinwing nodded sullenly. It was as if Warscar thought he was the deputy instead of her. "Come on," She meowed. "Let's go catch up with the others." The two friends raced forward and almost crashed into Warscar, who hissed in distaste. There was a pool of blood on the ground. Storm looked shocked. "This cannot be," He murmured, sniffing at the blood. "The Moon Dynasty usually allows no blood to be spilled." Oakleaf suddenly raised his head, blue eyes blazing with fury. "Look!" He hissed. The other three cats gasped in surprise. Rows and rows of dark cats were lined among the horizon, their red eyes filled with hatred and disgust. One of them padded up to the group, a look of smugness among his hideous features. "Hello, Storm of Moon," The tom mewed. "It's so.. fortunate we could meet again in the lands of our ancestors." "Shadow of Moon!" Storm snarled. Warscar almost snickered at their strange names, but luckily held it back. Robinwing and Oakleaf were bristling. "How did you get on Moon Dynasty territory?" Asked Storm, eyes blazing with hatred. Shadow shrugged. "With a bit of... assistance. But that isn't important at the moment." The black tom flicked his tail in contempt. "This is my revenge," He yowled, raising his head. "You have killed me - and so I shall kill you, and banish you to the Lands of Darkness forever." The Land of Darkness? Thought Robinwing. Can cats die even in death? Oakleaf felt his companion panic and pressed his fur against hers. Robinwing felt herself calm down and shot a grateful glance at the brown tom. Storm and Shadow still faced each other, hatred gleaming in their eyes. The gray tom let out a caterwaul, and a stream of Moon Dynasty cats poured down from the nearest hill as if summoned, and came to a stop behind Storm. Shadow narrowed his eyes. "So it comes to this," The black tom hissed. "The final battle between Shadows and Stars. Do you think your cats can beat mine? The Land of Darkness is the last step in death - we cannot be defeated!" Robinwing sucked in a breath as the tom signaled with his tail and the dark cats began to run towards them. Storm yowled to his cats to attack and so they did, running towards the enemy. "Why are we fighting these cats?" She yowled to Oakleaf. The brown tom shook his head, unable to answer. He was in shock, she knew. No one had expected this sudden battle, it all happened to fast. Suddenly a heavy weight slammed her into the ground. She yowled for help as the strange cat clawed at her, red eyes gleaming in disgust. Oakleaf pounced on the tom, and they rolled on the ground, trying to pin each other down. The dark tom succeeded, lunging for Oakleaf's throat. "No!" Cried Robinwing, staring in shock at Oakleafs limp body. "Is he dead?" Yowled Warscar beside her.
