Chapter 1
Two cats padded softly over the hard black rock under paw till the got to green grass "You should realy stop now Chirretadawn they will be coming soon" Said a large tom he had beautiful brown tabby fur with white underbelly and sparkling blue eyes. The she-cat Chirretadawn was a golden brown with not a spot of white or brown. "Fine" mewed Cherretadawn.
They had just left their clans because they were disliked for thet were in love and going to have kits. They had been traveling for many moons now and the kit's were coming. "Grazetip.. Stay I want you to name them" Cherretadawn mewed in gasps "Then I will wait I want to see them first" Grazetip sat down. After some time there were three kits, one was grey with odd markings of white, on her tail tip, a tuff of fur on her head, her paws and a band around her neck, Grazetip named her Mistkit, then there was a ginger one, she was named Dawnkit, and last there was a gold brown tom named Sunkit. "they are wonderful!" Cirretadawn mewed but her mind said diffrent "you should rest" Grazetip mewed sternly 'you should to" Cherretadawn reminded him. the days went by and Grazetips love for the kit's grew and he no longer had time for Chirretadawn this upset her and she pland to fix that and soon.
Chapter 2
Grazetip slept softly but Chirretadawn did not she took the three kits and made ragged gashes along their throats to make it look as if they had been attacked by foxes. She quietly walked back to their little camp and was finaly able to sleep little did she know another pair of eyes were watching her.
'were am i? mother? were is mother? Daddy daddy! were are you? daddy help me!' The little gray kit liffted herself slowly to her feet, she tried to mew for her father but her throat burned and not a sound came out. She looked around her the dead bodies of her brother and sister lay by her paws 'who?' she thought 'who would do something like this?' her eyes filled with tears as she stood frozen to the spot taking in a memory she would never forget.
Chapter 3
"Why did you kill them!" those pair of eyes raged "Why!" Chirretadawn coward by Grazetips paws he drew his paw up as if to hit her but he couldn't "I will punish you but not with my paws, I will with my heart!" he stood up and whiped around and stalked off toward the three kits "goodbye may I never see you again!" he yowled back at her.
The grey kit tore her face away from the sight and turned away then she saw her father. Grazetip stood in front of the grey kit her chest seemed so still 'she is a ghost now' he thought "a ghost of my little Mist" he blinked and she was gone but only two of the three kits lay infront of him!
Chapter 4
'Ghost' she decided 'he called me ghost so I will be Ghost' she padded on for a few more hours and now had stopped by a swamp. She lapped up some water and climbed up a fallen tree her fur was no longer the grey and white it was before, it was now a shaggy dark grey with light grey paws and markings. Ghost shethed and unshethed her long black, thorn like claws she carved odd shapes in to the bark of the tree she was becoming tired and her eyes were begining to fall. Two dark shapes loomed over her she closed her eyes and waited for them to take her life away 'I have nothing left to live for' she thought as their teeth pricked her neck and back.....she let out a ghostly wail like the wind against trees her paw drooped to one carving, a carving of her brother and sisters spirits.

"She's not dead" Fog clans medicine cat looked at Ghosts limp form "you said she had carved things in to the tree bark show me them." she ordered "here they are" a very young tom mewed and passed her the bark they had peeled off the tree "hmm" mused the she-cat "these are ghosts" she mewed pointing to Ghost's brother and sister "and that looks like she is tring to say voice or song" she indicated a claw to another image "She is Ghostsong then" the med cat confirmed. "Ghostsong" the tom mewed "it's sutch a pretty name" he stared at the limp form then at the bark "whats that?" he pointed at a dark looking cat and Chirreta and the image of a rising sun. A groan came from the nest that Ghost rested in her paw twiched slightly then her eyes opend showing her misty blue eyes as if she were dead, but not. "Welcome Ghostsong to Fog clan, we are friends I am Junipertail and that is Barkkit" Junipertail nodded to the tom "you're name is Ghostsong, right?" Barkkit asked. Ghost tried to say no but she coulden't say anything so she let her head hang limp so Barkkit and Junipertail thought this was a yes. Ghost was now Ghostsong and her life was only starting.
