Here is the first in my Non-Canon Warriors series. I think it goes here, because it had some origanal cats, but most are new ones.
Chapter 1
The sun shone on Dovepaw's tabby pelt. Walking over to the warrior den, she asked,
"Hey, Riverpelt! Want to train today?" she mewed.
"Meh. Too early." he replied, fixing his blue eyes at
her. His blue-gray coat shimmered slightly, making him look eerie in the morning light.
"Come on!Please?" Dovepaw pressed.
"Geez, you sound like my mother! Five more minutes, please?" meowed
Riverpelt with a slight edge to his voice. Padding back to the apprentice den, she nudged
Wavepaw.
"That Riverpelt," she mewed with a sigh, "Do you think Greenleaf would take both of us?"
Wavepaw's tabby gray pelt flicked in amusement. "He'd sooner give up RiverClan to dogs! You
know how lazy he is." Giving a mrow of agreement, Dovepaw turned back to the enterence of
the apprentice den. "It's been five minutes, Riverpelt!" she meowed.
"All right." mewed Riverpelt, getting up and stretching. "Let's patrol fourtrees, shall we?"
A while later, Dovepaw had caught several fish. Carrying them back to camp with a satisfied
smile on her face, she set them down on the fresh-kill pile.Choosing a vole, she went over to the
apprentice den. Wavepaw still hadn't come back.
"Dovepaw!" meowed Wavepaw excitedly. "Get up!" "What in StarClan-" began Dovepaw, but Wavepaw
cut her off excitedly. "ShadowClan's attacking!" Dovepaw was taken aback. "Why?" Wavepaw
looked as exited as Dovepaw felt irritated. "Who cares?"
Sure enough, cries of fury were coming from outside the apprentice den. "Take that, Russetfur!"
"MROW!" "Grr..." Jumping out of the apprentice den, Dovepaw leapt at the nearest warrior, Ratpelt.
He yowled in pain as her teeth sunk into his ear. Wavepaw was jumping at Sparrowpaw. The black
apprentice squealed as Wavepaw snapped at his tail. Leopoardstar, the RiverClan leader, was in
combat with the ShadowClan leader Redstar. Taking advantage of Dovepaw's momentary distraction,
Ratpelt sunk his teeth into her fur. Jumping around in panic, Dovepaw bit his tail so hard that
Ratpelt ran in the other direction, squealing like a kit.
"Good riddance." muttered Dovepaw under her breath.
A few days later, Dovepaw was helping the other cats build up the camp wall that had been torn
down by the ShadowClan cats. Wavepaw was next to her, and they excitedly discussed the battle.
"That was some good fighting." meowed Wavepaw. "Thanks." replied Dovepaw.
At the next gathering, Dovepaw and Wavepaw were asked to come. "Wow! My first gathering!"
mewed Wavepaw excitedly. It was Dovepaw's first gathering, too.
The first Clan to share news was ThunderClan. Firestar padded to the front of the rock.
"We have a new apprentice, Sunpaw. We also have a new warrior, Rockear." he announced. Dovepaw
noticed two cats who looked proud. There was a small orange cat who she guessed was Sunpaw, and
a black tom who must be Rockear. One ear lay flat on his head, witch must have given him his
name.
Next WindClan's leader, Onestar, spoke; "We have a new deputy, Thunderpelt. Also there is a new
medicine cat apprentice, Waterpaw." Thunderpelt stood up tall, and Dovepaw noticed that his purr
was loud enough to be like thunder. Waterpaw looked so much like Wavepaw that they might have
been siblings.
After Redstar had given his news, it was finally RiverClan's turn.
"We would like it brought to your attention that ShadowClan has attacked us." this brought mews
of anger from the other cats. "We have two new apprentices, Dovepaw and Wavepaw." added
Leopoardstar. Redstar stepped forward. "We would never have attacked without reason, I trust you
know that." he mewed in a dangerous tone. "You've been stealing prey."
"No we haven't!" meowed Leopardstar. "I know what my warriors are doing, and they are not
stealing prey."
RiverClan came back from the gathering looking rather glum at the accusation. "Why would they
say we'd do something like that? Mouse-brains." muttered Greypelt, who for some reason had paled
considerably.
Dovepaw's sleep was disturbed with dreams of weird things like Greypelt stealing prey, a trout
that turned into Redstar, and ghostly-looking cats.
Chapter 2
"Attack me." meowed Riverpelt, a few days later. Dovepaw jumped at him, but with a strike of
his paw he sent her flying, to land next to some juniper berries. "Try to spin a little, and if
your enemy seams to be winning, look like you're giving up, then spring at him." the next time,
Dovepaw did a flip in the air and landed on top of Riverpelt. "Whoa! Easy, there," he meowed,
looking startled. "Worthy of a warrior." Dovepaw beamed at him.
"How'd training go?" asked Wavepaw as they chose a fish from the fresh-kill pile. "I attacked
Greenleaf every time, and always won. Imagine, he's so lazy I could beat him!" Dovepaw grinned.
"It took me a while to attack Riverpelt and win. He know some good defense moves!"
Mistyfog, the deputy padded up to them. "I'd like you two to go on hunting patrol with
Your mentors. We
need to test how good you're getting at hunting. It might be time for you to receive your warrior
name soon."
Dovepaw padded through the forest alone. She noticed the stream nearby held a lot of fish.
Padding over, she swiped at a trout, flipping it up into the air. Soon she had caught four
trouts- enough to feed the Clan well for one day. Then Dovepaw noticed a shrew scuttling
around in the ferns. However, she was not swift enough to catch it. Deciding that this was good
enough on her part, Dovepaw carried the fish bach to camp.
"Great job, well appreciated!" mewed the elder Longdream. "You'll be the best hunter around
someday! And that sure is a lot of mouse, Wavepaw!" she added, noticing that Wavepaw had just
passed by with whole pile of mice. "Would you mind telling us a story?" asked Dovepaw. "Of
course," mewed Longdream through a mouth of trout. "How about the fall of Tigerstar?" Tigerstar
was a mutinous cat who had been killed by the evil Scourge. All of his nine lives, gone in a
flash. She sat wide eyed, listening.
"MROW! Is anyone here!?" yowled a voice. Dovepaw ran out of the den to find Rockear, the new
warrior, running into camp. "Rouges!" he yowled. "Attacking us, and some are heading toward the
other territories!" "Rouges?" asked Dovepaw, wide-eyed. "Here?" "OF COURSE THEY'RE HERE!" yowled
Rockear, raging furiously. Rowenheart, the medicine cat, emerged from his den. His black and
white pelt shivered; whether it was from Rockear's furious raging or rouges, Dovepaw did not
know. "Here, chew these. It's for shock." said Swiftpaw, handing over some herbs. It did not seem
like Rockear wanted herbs at the moment, though. "Where's Leopardstar?" he asked, fighting to
keep his voice calm.
"Right here." mewed Leopardstar, coming out from her bed of tall grass. "Do you think I'm deaf?"
Her toungue was sharp, thought Dovepaw. "We will aid you." she added. "Dovepaw, Wavepaw, spread
the word."
The forest was dark, and it was well past sun-high. "Let's go to WindClan first." suggested
Wavepaw. The trail was now much plainer as they moved into WindClan territory.
"What are you doing here?" asked a timid voice. It was Waterpaw, the new medicine cat apprentice.
"We have come to warn you that rouges are coming to the forest. They have attacked ThunderClan
and are on their way to the other Clans." mewed Wavepaw orderly. "A-all right." mewed Waterpaw.
"Now," muttered Wavepaw after Waterpaw had left. "We need to convince ShadowClan."
Now that they were in ShadowClan, marshes were not uncommon. "Blegh. How can ShadowClan stand
this?" mewed Wavepaw in disgust as she stuck her paw into a bog and had to pull to get out.
"Why trespass?" squeaked a voice. A warrior she-cat with dirty tortoiseshell fur and who was so
thin that you could see her bones was advancing toward them.
"We would like you to tell your Clan that rouges are attacking." mewed Wavepaw, this time with a
shudder in her voice, probably at seeing such a thin cat. Without waiting for a reply, they sped
back into their own territory.
RiverClan camp was in uproar. Rouges had reached the camp. Leaping at the nearest one, a tabby
tom with a stub for a tail, Dovepaw launched into battle. The tabby was a good fighter, and she
felt he would win. Lying limp, Dovepaw convinced him he had given up. Then, at just the right
moment, she counter-attacked so strongly that the tom yowled in surprise, than ran off. That
stratagy sure worked well! "MROW!" she heard a voice call. Treekit, a young white she-cat,
was being cornered by a loner! Bristling, Dovepaw ran at her. Jumping at the loner, Dovepaw
yowled in fury, than in pain. The loner had clamped her jaws around Dovepaw's ear, and wouldn't
let go! Blood trickled down her face. Blinded by pain, Dovepaw struck out with her paw with such
force that she could feel the strength of the jaws loosen. Wrenching away from the loner's jaws,
she felt a shudder of pain go through her, but the pain was almost blinded by strong emotions to
do what was right. Then, with what seemed to by all of StarClan's power, she bit the loner on the
nose, which sent the loner running out of camp.
