Hee hee srry 'bout that! Here's the next chapter! CHAPTER 8 "No!" Rockstar yowled in grief to the cat in front of him. "She can't be... she can't be dead. She can't be!" He turned his head around. "Songbreeze!" he called. "Songbreeze!" A moment later the medicine cat pushed his way through the cats and sat down next to Echosong. Rockstar saw his light blue eyes filled with unimaginable pain and grief, but he kept on working. He spun around to Cloud, who was cowering beside him. "You did this!" he hissed sourly, letting his temper roar. "You killed Echosong didn't you? After all, you were a BloodClan cat before you joined us." The cats around him growled in agreement. "We should drive you out, you useless lump of fur! You will only be a danger to our clan, and it ends, now." Without realizing, he raised a paw for the death blow. "Stop!" A weak, whispery voise called. Rockstar recodnised the voise at once. "Echosong! Your alive!" He bounded over to where she lay. The depth of saddness in Songbreeze's eyes told him that she was on her way to StarClan. "She didn't do it," she whispered. "It was..." she coughed, letting out a thin trickle of blood from her mouth and the wound on her flank bled heavier. "Fire," she finally chocked out, every word laced with pain. Her eyes were star-bright as she said one last thing. "StarClan is calling me. Good bye, Rockstar." She shuttered, then layed still in eternal silence. "No..." he rasped, and Songbreeze trembled beside him. He saw his crystal blue eyes, usually bright and friendly, now weighed down and darkened with grief. The cats of SkyClan yowled in grief and anger. One cat- Flamestorm- jumped at Cloud, forgetting what Echosong said. "Stop!" The voise of his sister called out, and jumped in front of Flamestorm, intersecting his attack. "It wasn't her!" she mewed desperately to him. He relaxed at his sister's certainty, nodded, and licked her shoulder. Rockstar felt a small amount of amusement spark in his heart, but only for a heartbeat. Cloud, still shaking, cowered when he looked at her. "We won't hurt you," he meowed. "Flamestorm, Tinywhisker, escort her back to camp. She shouldn't have left her kits." The two warriors nodded, and nudged Cloud to her paws. The three cats disappeared in the darkness. "We need to hold vigil for Echosong," he mewed hoarsly. "Bouncefoot, Petalnose, can you carry her body into the clearing?" They glanced at each other and nodded. They picked up her body and led the mourning cats of SkyClan into the clearing. The cats soon started sharing tounges with her for the last time. As Rockstar watched them, he felt a warm breath in his ear. He turned to see Cherrytail, the cat he loved, watching him with sorrow in her eyes. "I'm so sorry," she mewed. "I know how close you were to Echosong." He nodded, too sick at heart to reply, and sat down next to the cold body of his beloved medicine cat. His throat tightning, he made her one last promice. "I will avenge your death," he meowed. He got up, wanting to hold a proper vigil for Echosong, but first he had to take care of his cats. "Cats of SkyClan," he mewed. "BloodClan have gone too far. Fire has killed our medicine cat, and for that he will pay. We need to get strong. We have four more days until we meet them in combat. From now on, mentors will train their apprentices twice as much, and we will be keeping a perminant watch outside the camp. No cat will leave the camp alone, and we will always be alert. Are we clear?" The cats of SkyClan yowled their agreement. His apprentice, Nightpaw, was bristling with excitement, but at the same time, seriousness filled his eyes. What the warrior his apprentice will make! Cloud's five moon old kits stared up at him mewing to each other. Suddenly an idea popped into his head. "Wait!" he yowled, and the cats froze in their tracks, staring up at him curiously. Rockstar stared back excitedly. "I have a plan..." LLLLOOOONNNNGGG!!!!

Er... sorry abut that everyone. I'll just get on with the story... CHAPTER 9 "Right," Rockstar mewed. "Attack me." His apprentice, Nightpaw, crouched in front of him. His eyes traveled to his front leg, betraying where he would attack. Nightpaw jumped and yowled. But instead of attacking him at where he thought he would, he land square on his back. Rockstar yowled in surprise and fell back. They rolled on the ground, screeching and growling. Finally, Nightpaw pinned Rockstar down, and he was so breathless he couldn't struggle free. "That's enough," he gasped. Nighpaw released him and backed away, concern in his eyes. "I didn't hurt you, did I?" he meowed. Getting up, Rockstar shook his pelt. It stung where his apprentice first jumped on him, but he didn't want to show it. "No, you didn't," he reassured. "How do you fight so well? This is our first combat lesson." Nightpaw shrugged, his amber eyes glowing with pride. "Well," Rockstar grunted. "Great job. I have to say that I'm very impressed. I think that is enough combat today. For now, go and hunt with Snowpaw. I believe she's in the clearing." Dipping his head, he raced back to the clearing. Chuckling, he followed his apprentice. He found him about to race into the forest with his sister. "Stop!" Rockstar called. Nightpaw and Snowpaw turned back to him and padded across the clearing to where Rockstar stood. "I think it's about time I evaluate what your mentors have taught you," he mewed. "You are to hunt deep in the forst and catch as much prey as you can. Remember, I will be watching you." The apprentices nodded eagerly, and dashed out of the camp. Rockstar followed the two eager apprentices quietly. He first found Nightpaw holding a mouse in his jaws. He buried it and tasted the air. His ears pricked as his eyes darted around. He crouched down, stealthly stacking a huge rabbit. He pounced. The rabbit started, but it was too late. Nightpaw bit it in the back of it's neck and buried it next to where he buried the mouse. Rockstar was impressed. I was as if his apprentice was already a seasoned warrior! Nightpaw soon caught two more voles and another mouse. Pleased, he began to follow Snowpaw's scent. It veered in a winding path. Along it were two buried mice. Peased as he was with the apprentices, he felt a shiver down his spine. Rockstar wondered why. Her scent led nearer and nearer to the edge of the trees. Rockstar's heart began to pound. He finally spotted the apprentice stalking a plump vole in BloodClan's territiory. He gasped. He scented the air. It smelled of BloodClan cats! "Snowpaw! Come back!" he yowled. But before she could move, a streak of brown and white pinned her down, snarling threats to her. Fire was attacking Snowpaw! CHAPTER 10
Rockstar sprang foward. Fire was not going to kill another SkyClan cat while he was alive! He landed on Fire with a snarl. Startled, the huge cat fell back, letting go of Snowpaw. Rockstar scored his claws down his side, but it wasn't enough to throw him off. Rockstar felt sharp teeth sink into his shoulder. He let out a yowl of pain, and used his back paws to get Fire off of him. It worked. Fire fell backward, but scrambled up in less than a heartbeat. His blood-red eyes burned into Rockstar's green-leaf ones. "No cat defeats BloodClan," he hissed before disappearing deeper into his territory. He turned to Snowpaw, praying to StarClan that she was alright. She layed on her side, blood oozing out of a deep scratch on her shoulder and one of her eyes were closed. "Snowpaw," Rockstar whispered. "Snowpaw, we have to get you to Songbreeze." Struggling, she finally got up. One of her front paws hung at an awkward position, and Rockstar was afraid that it might be broken. Snowpaw leaned against him as they made their way back to the clearing. They finally entered the clearing after their long trek back from the fight. Snowpaw immediately dropped down and closed her good eye. Nightpaw, who had eating on the other side of the clearing, rushed over at the sight of his wounded sister. "Snowpaw!" he gasped. "What happened?" The cats around them got up to see what happened. "She was attacked by Fire," he rasped. Yowls of anger rippled though SkyClan like a wave. "Nightpaw, go fetch Songbreeze," he ordered. Nightpaw dashed into the temporary medicine den and a heartbeat later Songbreeze ran out with herbs in his jaws. "I can handle this now," he reassured the cats around him. "I just need some help carrying her to the den." "I'll help," Nightpaw offered immediately. Songbreeze nodded, and they carried Snowpaw into the clump of ferns. Clovertail padded up to him, her eyes a world of worry. "She will be okay, right?" "That's for Songbreeze to say, but I think so," he murmered sympathetically. She nodded and hurried into the den. Rockstar sighed. Suddenly his confidence drained. How? he wondered. How will we ever defeat them?

CHAPTER 11 "We should attack!" Patchfoot yowled from the back of the crowded cats. The cats of Skyclan yowled their agreement. Rockstar had called a clan meeting after Snowpaw had been tended to. Immediately the cats started calling their hatred towards the brown-and-white cat and their plans to get back at him. Rockstar waved his tail for silence. slowly, the meows and yowls stopped. "Remember the plan," he mewed. "This will give us the advantage of surprise. All we have to do is make the BloodClan cats think that we gave in, and the next dawn, we attack the camp. We will defeat these cats," he reassured as some cats looked at him uneasily. "They say we have to leave in two days, so we will. But they will soon realize they will not have seen the last of us. We will attack them moonhigh that night." The cats of SkyClan nodded and settled into groups. Rockstar sighed, and padded to the medicine den. He saw Snowpaw sleeping in the corner. Her wounds have been treated and her leg was back in place. Songbreeze turned to him. "Hello, Rockstar," he mewed. "What do you need?" "I was just wondering when she would be fit to fight," he asked the medicine cat. "She should be fit in time for the attack," he reassured his leader. "Her leg was dislocated, but that was the only serious injury. She'll be fine." Songbreeze turned away, but not before Rockstar saw the misery in his eyes. "Songbreeze, what's the matter?" he asked his troubled friend. For a minute he didn't answer. He just sat there, shoulders sagging. Then he turned to Rockstar. "It's just... I miss Echosong" he whispered. "She was the greatest mentor and friend any cat couldv'e asked for." "I know," Rockstar mewed, feeling his own grief well up in his throat. "But she's safe in StarClan now, watching over us." Songbreeze shot him a grateful look, and dipped his head. Rockstar turned away. "Wait," Songbreeze mewed. He stopped. "There's something else. StarClan have scent me a dream. A large gray tom with blue eyes came to me and said, 'The flame of the fires will be destroyed only when rain comes pouring down from the clouds of the sky.'" He paused, looking up at Rockstar. "What do you think it means?" he asked. Rockstar shook his head. "I don't know," he mewed. "But the 'flame of the fire' must be Fire of BloodClan. But I'm not sure what 'the clouds of the sky' is." Songbreeze nodded, and Rockstar walked out of the den. By now Silverpelt shined above. The full moon glowed like a cats' eye. What the medicine cat had said disturbed him. Did it mean that SkyClan was doomed? And that Rockstar was leadiing them to it?

CHAPTER 12 "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join here for a clan meeting," Rockstar yowled. The cats of SkyClan got up and padded to him. He saw Cloud and her kits at the back, as if they were not sure if they were welcome. He motioned with his tail for the white queen to step foward. Her eyes flashing with fear, she warily padded to her and sat beside Rockstar. He had thought long about this, and he thinks he has made the right decision. "I have called you to invite Cloud and her kits to join SkyClan." Cloud's eyes widened in surprise. Some of the cats around her looked surprised too. The white she-cat dipped her head in agreement. He looked up to the stars. I, Rockstar, leader of SkyClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this cat. She wishes to learn the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn." Turning to Cloud, he continued. "Cloud, do you promice to uphold the warrior code and protect and defend this clan, even at the cost of your life?" "I do." "Then by the power of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Cloud, from this moment on you will be known as Cloudmoon. StarClan honors you will give all of your intelligence and kindness, and I welcome you as a full member of SkyClan." He rested his muzzle on the top of Cloudmoon's head, and she gave his shoulder. Only her kits chanted her name. "Cloudmoon, Cloudmoon!" they mewed. Rockstar motioned with his tail for them to come up. Glancing at eachother excitedly, they scampered up next to him. He looked at a white kit that looked exactly like Cloudmoon. "This kit will be called Moonkit until she has earned her apprentice name." Next he looked at a black and white kit with one green eye and one blue eye. "Until this kit has become an apprentice, he will be called Lightningkit," he purred. At last he turned to an icy blue-white kit with eyes the color of a star filled pool of water. "And this kit will be named Icekit," he finished. The cats around him purred in affection as they say down next to eachother. "This meeting is over," he meowed. Rockstar, suddenly feeling exhausted, curled up to where Cherrytail had settled. He closed his eyes and this time, no dreams disturbed him. GO ICEKIT! XD
